No frills or warm fuzzies here. I can appreciate the immediate appointment time and the folks were nice however I want a better presentation and experience for my little one. The office is currently under some construction i think and the current rooms are very bare bones basic. They did not even clean my childs teeth and it was the first visit however they did slap on the treatment they can charge for "fluoride" i assume. I will not go here again and the only reason I booked here and kept my appointment after walking in was I needed to get this done in a timely fashion. read more

Apparently the union deposit location has a new 'policy' that if you do not respond to their phone call they will cancel your appointment within 24 hours of that message. Incredibly disrespectful to all hard working parents out there! I did not get a phone number left in my message. After looking the number up and confirming the appointment I pointed out how this was poor customer service... The woman who answered, instead of taking the note down and sharing it with management, decided to escalate the call into a shouting match.... Continuing the extremely poor customer service. Parents have to make their appointments months in advance... To cancel without cause is not an appropriate 'fix' for the few people who do not show up to their appointments....life happens to all of us, being punitive is not the solution...having someone being argumentative as the face of your company is also not appropriate. Yesterday July 18th 2024 I had an appointment at dental dreams in Harrisburg PA for routine cleaning my wife and I booked the appointments together. I went first sat in the chair and the dentist proceeded to clean my mouth on the left side. As soon as she started cleaning I felt a sharp pain I told her to stop but she just told me to put my lips around the suction tube to draw out the liquid which I did briefly, after that she went to my left to my right side and started cleaning as well. Immediately I felt a very sharp pain on the inside of my jaw and I told her to stop but she acted as if she didn't hear me so I forcefully told her to stop I took the tubes out of my mouth and told her I don't want to go any farther. I looked in my mouth and my mouth was full of blood.Apparently the tip that she used was ineffective or not the correct one and my mouth was full of blood because the instrument that she used was just cutting my flesh. Let me back up and interject this, prior to being waited on we sat in the hall / waiting area and there was a lady in there who I perceived to be a office manager or someone in charge and she was speaking to the other hygienist or dentist about getting the equipment checked out from Shein and I don't know what that's all about but I did overhear that. She did write me a prescription to get a mouth rinse which I did get filled ,but I am very dissatisfied with Dr Martin who is the dentist that worked on my mouth.And I'm thankful that I sat in a chair first before my wife because my wife is on blood thinners and I hate to think what would have happened if she would have went first. read more

This is the type of dentist office you expect to find in the urban community. This is the type of dentist office that is only in business for the insurance money they receive for "treating patients". They don't answer phones or messages. They don't follow thru with voicemails left...if you even get to leave one. They will schedule you on a day their office is not even open and you won't find out they aren't open until you get there. There will be no phone calls letting you know they made a mistake or have new office hours nor will they reschedule the appointment... because you can't reach anyone. Use this office as a last resort...and if it is your last resort, just go to the emergency room and find a new dentist office while you sit and wait. You've been warned. read more

I made an appointment on June 4 2023 for December 1 2023. I confirmed my appointment on Monday November 27 2023. On Tuesday November 28 they called and left me a message to reschedule the appointment because that doctor was no longer with the practice. Did this Dr. leave on Monday ? I think it is very unprofessional not to have called sooner especially because it took 6 months to get the 1st appointment. To add insult to injury their phone system automatically disconnects you after 30 minutes on hold. I can't in good conscience leave a message as suggested for fear they aren't professional enough to call back and I very much need the dental care. Dental Dreams? More like DENTAL NIGHTMARES!!! I went in for a simple extraction. The numbing wore off in the middle so the dentist left me with a half broken tooth, the nerve now exposed and said since I couldn't tolerate the pain I should go to an oral surgeon. When I arrived my tooth was completely intact, now it's broken and worse than when I got there! The staff doesn't care about the patient at all. Please save yourself the time and pain. Very compassionate and professional dentists and receptionists. I had 6 teeth pulled and it was almost completely painless. The only thing I don't like is the fact that now I have to wait 4-6 months to get my dentures. All in all it wasn't as bad an experience as I thought it would be because of how good the people treated me and the great work of the dentist to keep it almost totally painless. I had a good experience at the Dental Dreams in Harrisburg, Pa. The staff was helpful and friendly giving my son a same day appointment for his tooth pain. We were able to get x-rays to find out why he was having the tooth pain. The dentist also gave him pain medicine and a referral to fix the problem. The staff and Dr's are very nice once you are there. The waiting room is always loud and crowded. Appointment times are frequently behind, so make sure you set aside the day for even just a simple appointment. My biggest complaint is they never answer the phone. Not once in the entire 4+ years my kids have had to come here. I have never called, or left a message and they actually called back. Very frustrating. The first time I went, I was a walk in because I came on the wrong day (lol) but I got seen immediately for an extraction. The dentist was awesome. After that, I have been there several times and each time the wait is horribly long. As for friendliness, I have no issues with the receptionists or anyone else there; I was treated kindly and respectfully. One lady was there as a walk in for toothache and I felt so bad for her, waiting for the entire time I was there, and I don't know how long she was there before I arrived. That was uncool. I asked-we were next-but then they took another person back before us. When I asked-the girl said they had different dentists. So our dentist was atleast an hour behind. Worst place ever! I came here with a work client many years ago and it didn't seem to bad but probably because I was getting paid to be there. My appt was at 330 and it's now 5:15 and I just got into the exam room and had X-rays. My exam tools are already to go on the table but no one is coming to check on me. The professionalism is very poor! I'm in the process of getting dentures made. My last appointment was over two months ago! On numerous times I've tried calling waiting nearly a half hour for someone to answer the phone, then the call dropped at the half hour mark. I'm basically waiting for my dentures and absolutely no contact from them at all. I've left multiple messages with NO return call to date 6/27/22. Next, the state of the exam dental rooms is less than desirable! They are not clean by any means, they never use sanitary papers for your headrest, you sit there in the waiting room, watching ppl walk in and go right back for service, don't look for them to get you in on your scheduled appointment time, even if you arrive well in advanced. The only reason I give one star is because of all insurances accepted for the most part. Otherwise, poor staffing, unprofessional, uncleanliness, and just overall bad business. After they had xrays done the doctor tells me that he has to refer my sons to a specialist, I ask him why? he Stated he could not do anything with him due to his age (but he is 12). Said it would be painful he would be better Off seeing a kids dentist. he said that he does not do anything with kids teeth. so, he referred me to a kids dentist, once I called the place he referred me to they stated that they do not do with adult teeth. They stated they don't know why they referred me to them because he has adult teeth (which mr.kim should know since he just cleaned my child's teeth) so, I called back to dental dreams and informed them of the problem they stated ok well let them see why mr Kim did that. They went back to talk to the dentist dr.kim and he said ok well bring him back and he will do it. Which I was confused about because He just told me that he couldn't doanything with kids teeth.( for my 12 year old son) . so, I go back at 2:30 like he said and after I sit down for about 5 minutes they tell me that mr. Kim is doing a lengthy procedure and it is going to take about 2/3 hours before I get seen . So, I basically just wasted my time again coming there due to mr. kim. Not to mention I heArd him talking with other dentist about my child teeth and laughing. Also while talking to me he mention my child insurance and not in a good way. What a disgrace to dentistry! Needs a good cleaning! Was worried about the tools they were putting in my mouth! The drill to clean my teeth...eek! Absolutely horrible parents dont go. I loved them at first the wait is always bad but they were nice and seemed knowledgeable. Yeah well wrong, I had a problem with paperwork I had given them for over a week was told itd be ready next day and then was told he had to be seen to get done. they didn't have appts in a timely manner and didn't even offer a solution. I had to call off work just to get the paperwork handed in on time. then the big nono was when my son got an abscess. I was livid. took him to a specialist the numbnuts drilled to the nerve and killed it. my baby had to be put under to get his tooth pulled and they drilled very close to the nerve on two other teeth. people beware they are not qualified to work on a rats mouth let alone a human! read more

Appointment was scheduled for 12:30, didn't get called back until 1:30. Strike 1. I also have a one month old son, whom I didn't have a sitter for, and the dentist told us his office wasn't a place for a small baby. Strike 2. He then told us my daughter had a cavity, and told my fiancé, "I know you're not a dentist, but come look at her tooth to know what a cavity looks like." Strike 3, and that was it. This dude is a prick, took MAYBE 5 minutes with my daughter, and didn't see him again. Nurse handled everything else. These dentists don't know what they are doing!!! I had a crown placed that came off 5 times within a few months. The dentists all speak broken english, they can't do a simple procedure without having to re do over and over. The staff cant even take x rays correctly. You wait for 2 hours even with an appt. Absolutley hate this place but because of insurance it's basicly the only place to go, here and Hamilton Health. About to try here...can't be any worse! Also the dentist are on some type of rotation. They only work here for a few months before working somewhere else.
