This is by far my favorite Denny's, besides the Oakdale Denny's. This one is close to my house. They have the most amazing chicken noodle soup. Love it. I order it every time I go. It is clean and the staff are very prompt in their service. One of the managers, Alondra, is absolutely amazing. She is so accommodating and bends over backwards to help me and other patrons when I go to Denny's. I'm from turlock and will never return to that Denny's. I used to leave turlock to go to Oakdale Denny's, and now I dont have to drive so far to go because this dennys is great! I feel like the staff actually care about your dining here and take pride in their service. This is a dennys I'd recommend to anyone I know hands down! Yesterday around 11:00 am me and my 2 friends came during break, and we were seated right away and ordered 10 min after. It was already 11:45 and our food wasn't even ready and people who came after us had already received their food and left. We had to go back so we asked to pack it to go. When I got back and was about to eat my food, it wasn't even what I ordered and I had even paid extra! I ordered a bacon bourbon burger but no bacon and a veggie patty instead and add avocado. I was even charged extra for the avocado and they barely added on. The burger was supposed to come with mushrooms and peppers and it didn't have even the littlest bit, nor did it have the sriracha sauce like I asked for. Horrible service. I don't even know if it's a racist issue or what but never coming here again. read more

No stars if we could. It was late night after a Gregori perform which brought out a large crowd, There was a young waitress/hostess without a name tag that would not seat our party. Only thing she would do mostly stand at the register while the other one server did all the work... apparently most of the large party place their order in but never received their food either. She told us, I can't seat you at the moment but if we seat ourselves, she can't guarantee that someone would take our order. So, we decided to seat ourselves since no one was planning to seat us and mind as well be comfortable if we are not getting served. We decided to placed an online order since no one was taking our order. Once that young waitress found out that it was our order, she refused to give us our food since she said all other orders need to go out before ours since we were planning on eating it their. Eventually the other waitress was able to get our Togo order out... since that girl wasn't doing anything.... Several people left without eating and canceled their order even the food was counter. read more

I am a Local, this Denny's has very nice Atmosphere. The employees here should be recognized by there hard work Ethic that I notice on a busy Sunday morning . some people like to complain about little stuff or bunch of nothing if its not correct or they just don't like it. . I never see employees just sitting around doing nothing here. The CEO needs to recognize the manager on Sunday morning and couple employees here put their heart into this Denny's. read more

The service was excellent, the coffee was hot and delicious, it was easily the cleanest Denny's that I can remember being to, and Luisa D. was an absolutely amazing server. She provided a very welcoming and friendly atmosphere, which led to a most pleasant dining experience. I will definitely recommend to friends and plan on returning in the future. It had been 10 or 12 years since our last visit to Denny's and to no surprise, it was still greasy. There was only one other table, almost empty and it took 10 min after being seated someone came. food came, took 20 mins. no silverware, no napkins waited about 4 to 5 min and asked for silverware. 3-4 min we had silverware and napkins. Exremely bad service. food was just ok. Won,t go back ever. read more

THIS IS NOT A ONE STAR FOR THE LOCATION ITSELF BUT FOR A PARTICULAR WAITRESS I RECOMMEND AVOIDING!! Me and my group of friends always go to this Denny's and we love it there and always get good service. But recently they hired a new waitress named Valerie who usually works during the late evening. Every time we get her as a waitress she takes 30 mins + to even get us silverware, rarely refills our drinks, and constantly says she'll be over in a minute to take our order then proceeds to take about 20mins to get over to our table and there will be maybe one of two more people there that come in AFTER WE COME that she pays special attention to. This Denny's is amazing but be cautious of this particular waitress. read more

This one is ok when your hungry and happen to be in the area. The sad part is if you have eaten at one Denny's you have eaten at them all. But what else can you say for a chain restaurant. The only thing different is the staff that works there and sometimes the fry cooks are a little more careful and do a better job than other places. Lately I've been ordering online and having it delivered. Now the first 2 times I did it everything was good I got my whole order and everything. Now my last 2 orders I've got I ordered drinks with them. And I never end up getting my drinks.... My husband, friend and I had been going to Denny's for breakfasts every Sunday morning for a few years. The last time we went we brought 3 additional people with us and although we were seated by 8am after only a short wait time, it took almost an hour to get our food. The waitress did not come by until we had waited for 20 minutes and it was to tell us the kitchen forgot to make our food. Since it wasn't over busy and she had been talking to other staff we realized it was because she forgot to put our order in. It took almost an hour to get our food and when we got it, everything was cold. When the waitress finally came by we told her that our meals were cold and she snapped at us "what do you want me to do, heat them up?" Since it was starting to get busy and we had waited for so long we asked if she could just warm our meals. She did, grudgingly and when she returned told us she could only heat them for 10 seconds each because if she did more they would be soggy and gross but she would make sure we got better service next time we were there because she recognized us. Out of our table of 6 only two ate their meals. When she brought our check we told her we didn't feel we should have to pay for everything that was not eaten. She spoke to her manager who gave us a 15% discount. When we went to speak with the manager she told us that she had been generous even giving us a discount and still felt that we should pay. When we disagreed we asked for her name because we were going to call their 800 number. She covered her name tag with her hand and demanded we pay or she was calling the police and saying we were going to be dine and dashers. Needless to say we called the 800 number who apologized and told us their policy is to refund the customer if not completely satisfied. They sent us a check to refund our meal and told us we should never have had to pay in the first place. It's been over two years and we have never returned. read more

When we first got here , I ordered a sprite and it came out missing the syrup so I had to take it back and got another one. Then I ordered buffalo wings and they came extremely salty , when I told them, they gave me another one . The service was extremely slow even though there was only 5 people at the diner. I also order a water and never got that too. Also, I ordered a skillet and it was very dry. read more

Nice clean Denny's. Staff was friendly and prompt. I had the special. (Denny's has specials?j It was the Greek chicken breast and it was very good. My companion had a Cobb salad that had freshly cooked chicken breast on it. They made fresh coffee. Bathroom was spotless. This Denny's is very easy on and off Highway 99. read more

I've been to plenty of Denny's before and sometimes have left feeling not impressed. This one, however, seemed different. I liked that the place looked clean, and I especially appreciated the server--very professional and service oriented. SO SLOW! Went yesterday about 1:30 and it took forever (1/2 hr) to get our lunch, it wasn't even busy at all, only about 4 tables of people including us. Food was good though and waitress was just OK but looked stressed, she took the order of a group that was after us and could've been more attentive, so maybe they were short handed on cooks but I've never waited this long at any Denny's before. read more

Employees told us the owner didnt want to turn on the AC. It's over 100 degrees outside.We felt for the employees and thought it wa really sad the owners could care less about their customers. I am most annoyed. I went here with my sister and my brother in law, we sat with a couple waiting for a table. The couple was set, then we were sat not but 3-4 minutes. We looked over the menu ordered and waited. We had water, filled 3 times, the couple who was seated minutes before us got up with their box to go. We were still waiting ...45 minutes and still no food. We left, upon leaving my sister expressed that we had observed that couple walk in, wait, and leave with their to go box. She tried explaining we had waited 45 minutes and was shut down by the waitress behind the counter. My sister was told that it takes longer for such a big order, and our food was on the counter. Really ? 2 people versus 3 just for eggs and toast? I have been to a lot of eating establishments, I understand busy, I understand short staffing. What I don't understand is rudeness, no accountability, and just plain bad service, we my sister and I have been in some form of service our entire career, BAD JOB Perko's in Salida.. Hire more people, and hire someone with some customer service, and a heart. We will never eat at your establishment again. read more

Excellent customer service!!! We had our 5 and 8 year old grandsons with us. The manager gave them some goldfish crackers while we waited for our food. They then brought the boys dinners out first. The food was delicious. read more

Great experience. Friendly servers and good food. I had the 55+ fit egg white veggie omelette which had lots of assorted sautéed vegetables. Very tasty. Came with a large bowl of fruit and an English muffin cooked perfect. Very filling. My husband had the bourbon bacon cheeseburger. It looked like it came from a photo shoot. Dennys is a great place for the mornings or a quick lunch and dinner I enjoy spending my mornings here mainly because the customer service it's always awesome at the Salida location , Justin has excellent customer service he's a warm hearted guy! They are always sorry staffed here don't know why. It takes a long time to get food, they are friendly but when you are hungry that don't matter lol all then need to do is how Ppl who want to work. This is my favorite dennys to eat at. I absolutely love the food here. My favorite is the Santa Fe skillet. Good ol sunny side medium over medium eggs, with orange juice. It's delicious. My fiancé loved it here too she gets pancakes with sausage, and and the mild coffee. Came here on Christmas with my whole family and had a good time! I recommend this place. read more

I hate eating at Denny's or any other crappy food "diner", but my boyfriend loves to come here. We usually only come for breakfast and order off the 2,4,6,8 menu. All you can eat pancakes for $4 or biscuits & gravy for $2... Can't complain. The waiters are always really cool. The regular meals are more expensive than theyre worth, but not everyone is open 24 hours, so it's whatever. read more
