Waitress Glenda's Service was great, the food was excellent and the restaurants recent renovations was nicely upgraded.

Walked in the place was nicely renovated. However, there was no customer service. No host and the waiter/waitress's just looked at us. We were standing there for 10 mins before I noticed a note pad I figured we needed to write our name on it. There was no instructions on what to do. 2 more groups of people came in then finally a waitress came up and asked if we were checked in. Told her that we signed in ourselves. Then she checked in the other people. The wait was going to be 45mins. This was the most horrible experience we had at this location. read more

Great place to eat! The restaurant's family atmosphere is friendly and the food is great and reasonably priced Our server was Glenda who was very pleasant and helpful in suggesting we try the triple burger which we did and was very satisfied! It was a BIG burger and we couldn't even finish it. She made sure our drinks were filled and checked up on us often, never having to ask for anything as she was efficient and accommodating to our needs. Her suggestion for the cookie dough pie for dessert was also a good choice! We look forward coming back to Kapolei Dennys again and hope we get Glenda as our server and to try other dishes on the menu. 5 stars is my rating for this Dennys and for our server, Glenda! read more

My husband put our name on the wait list and were told at that time the wait would be around 20 minutes. About 30-40 minutes later I went inside to check on the status of our wait time and they had crossed our name off the list without even having called our name. Needless to say we were pretty pissed so we left and went to Chili's where we didn't have to wait at all and the service was amazing!! A guy we ran into at Chili's told us Denny's does that kind of crap all the time because they can't handle the amount of people so when they get busy they just cross people's names off without calling them from the list. We're not going back. Who wants to deal with that bs? And the worker at the hostess stand at Denny's didn't even apologize or say we would be seated ASAP because of it. Our server was very rude! She took our entree orders, and instead of asking if we wanted anything else, she took our menus immediately even though we wanted to order the nachos as starters. So when I asked if I could get nachos she said "Okay I guess I have to delete all of this and ring up the nachos with your order" in a very rude and condescending tone. Very very unprofessional and we'll be sure to give our business to the Kunia Dennys location instead where their servers don't take their "bad days" out on the customers. Also the cup we got had black dirt or mold in it,and on top of that our server tended to everyone around us except us. We decided to stop at Denny's Kapolei as they are the only 24-7 diner open . I must say it was a very clean and family oriented diner which was recently renovated and I like it! We were welcomed by Glenda who made us feel like family,and we thought she was the hostess, but turned out she was our server! She was nice and courteous and suggested we try the chochonana slam and the T-bone breakfast with mushrooms and onions...the food was delicious! My usual time frames of dining in would be about 7am and 9pm. Both time frames, love the staff. Staff is usually prompt at greeting and acknowledging you. The thing I like about the staff is that they are good about food suggestions and pricing recommendations, to me that makes a difference on securing regular patronage over milking the customer for a one time go. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very much family oriented, but I noticed professional individuals being able to get some work done over a meal and coffee refills. Just a note, the store does offer wifi and outlet usage (dependant on booth availability). The food itself, I do have my favorites dependant on the time of day and mood, lol. Mornings I love my sirloin steak with garlic butter and eggs with mushroom and spinach add-ons. Afternoon/evenings I enjoy either the mahi-mahi or salmon with spinach and seasoned broccoli. When I dine with family, the zesty nachos with sour cream and jalapeño is a must to share. Shout out to the morning crew: Tasha, Lia, Annette, Jess, Gavin, Dennis, Aaliyah, Kalani, Shanel. I love this place. How have I lived here my whole life and not come here to eat? Located near Target and the theater, Dennys has a great local feel to it and very clean. Bathrooms are also clean and sign plaque stating they take cleaning seriously and to report if the bathroom needs cleaning. Kay done with the bathroom... let's talk food lol. Way better deal then Anna Millers (which isn't even 24 hrs), thank you Dennys to satisfy any odd hr cravings haha. I got the short berry dream cakes for 12.99. Let's just say I couldn't finish it all, so much food for a good bargain price. The other items were also reasonably priced. My friend got the all you can eat eggs, pancakes, and hash browns. Also was reasonably priced at about $10. The service is also very good. The waitress was very nice and prompt. Make sure to head on down! Especially if your craving some pancakes at 2 AM! This Denny's location is probably the worst service. Came in yesterday was told the wait time was 20 minutes.Only One side was open due to only having one server.But i did see 2 servers, so that wasn't true. Anyway we waited over 20 minutes still not being called..So i ask the other lady how long more,she say's another 20 minutes. I was not waiting that long. So we left and decided to dine else where! The service here really needs to get it together.The place wasn't even packed for the wait time to be 40 minutes! Not sure what happened,but this Denny's needs some major help! Wow! It's been a while since we've been here. Let me say, there's a Hiuge Improvement. When arrived we were told that there would be a 15 min wait. No problem, it was a nice day with the trades blowing so I set my timer because I wanted to see exactly how long it would take. It took them 18 min to get us seated There was 5 other parties ahead of us. Our waitress was Tasha, she was an Excellent! Customer service & has an Awesome personality! I was getting tired of the hotel breakfast so I made myself down the road to the local Denny's. I was sat right away and my drink was brought out soon after. The eggs were exactly like I asked and the hash browns were perfect. Nice, quick services and fair prices. I just picked up my boy from the airport from Maui, thank gawd he made it home in one piece, just horrible of what happened. Prayers for the island of Maui. I knew my boy would be hungry and Denny"s was our only option. Amazingly the food was delicious and what made it more spectacular was our server Glenda. She was the only server for her section. She was taking care over 8 tables and she provided AWESOME service. I didn't have to ask for coffee, water, etc, etc. Glenda took the stress away of taking care of my family for our evening meal. They didn't have bananas so I asked for strawberries instead, which matched with it. It was like eating strawberry shortcake! Sooo delicious, I couldn't stop eating it (#love). For $4 we got the (New!) Wings and Rings: Four all-white-meat Boneless Chicken Wings tossed in Buffalo sauce, plus Beer-Battered Onion Rings and a side of dipping sauce (only choice is ranch...?). What a deal! Then my bf got the (New!) Cowboy Chopped Steak for $8.99! His meal included: 100% beef chopped steak topped with Swiss cheese, fire-roasted bell peppers & onions and BBQ sauce. Went to register. Waited 10 minutes to be greeted by hostess. She had been busy talking story to other customers. Finally came. Said it would be 20-30 minutes to be seated. I'm going to try to make this short and simple. Ordered for takeout at 6am for breakfast, one of my orders was cheese and bacon tater tots. I come in and they say "we didn't have so we gave you fries". I say politely "is it okay if I get hash brown instead?" Because who eats French fries with their breakfast? Hostess goes to the back and I hear a lady yelling "ARE YOU SERIOUS? THEY DONT WANT THE FRIES??? THEY PAID EXTRA 99CENTS I GAVE THEM FRIES THEY REALLY DONT WANT IT????" Lady comes back out and says "so... we gave you fries cause you paid extra for the tater tots you really don't want the fries?". I say no can I just please have hashbrowns. I was purposely holding in my anger because I didn't want them to do anything bad to my food. Lady goes back to the back and again I hear yelling "are you serious right now?????"
