Came in after they'd been closed due to covid,Got to have a dive in meal with my girlfriend. The waiter made it a point to let us know to keep our masks in until we actually receive the food, so i took him as Someone who took his job seriously. We both ordered beyond burgers, we wait, food comes its all good... Until. I pop the top bun of to look at what I'm eating and it's not a beyond burger, it's some kind of veggie black bean burger. I ask the gentleman if he's sure this is a beyond burger? He says "yes, it's a beyond burger" then i inform him i eat beyond burgers often and I've never seen one with beans and corn in it. He leaves, comes back and says "oooo so we ran out and this is just the other Pattys." I let him know we didn't want it cuz its not what we ordered and he took it off the bill but still tried to charge us for orange juice and onion rings. I asked for the manager because i was not going to pay and he said it's fine" don't pay ".. I don't have anything thing against black bean burgers but if i ordered a beyond burger, i expect a beyond burger or at least notice that you don't have any more. You can't just give ppl whatever you want, what if i had an allergy to something in that black bean burger? What if i was on a special diet and hadn't eaten beans in years? I came in on a Thursday morning , was greeted by Manager Sergio and was immediately seated. My servers name was Iris and right from the start was super polite and made sure my coke had a perfect amount of ice. I ordered a Cali club with red skin potatoes on white bread, seeing as it comes on 7 grain and I don't like that bread. When my food came it came perfect just how I ordered it. She made sure I had more than enough napkins and ketchup. Dropped off bill not too early, and made sure I had a Coke to go and a box for the remainder of my sandwich. Me and my friend ordered breakfast. I wanted hot chocolate but she said the hot water machine was broken. (But i seen a man across the room drinking coffee and it looked hot. Just walked out because we sat for about 15 minutes and no one ever came over. They sat us at the table on the end and we watched as the other tables were served, didn't even acknowledge us. This is probably one of the few Denny's that I'll eat at. For a long time I stopped going to Denny's due to horrible service at the other locations like the one on Inglewood and Rosecrans. This one is an exception. From the moment I stepped in I was greeted very kind. They were able to accommodate my big party. The service was like none other. So I ordered Uber eats. Usually the orders are on point. Today I ordered twice and both times I had the sauces missing. Y'all are garbage. Then I call & the lady has the nerve to tell me to drive there and pick them up? Why tf would I order Uber eats then? You think i wanna larva my house? Horrible customer service!! Came in bright and early at 8 to avoid people. Come in and its empty, no one helped us and waited about 10 min for them to take us to a table!! Plus we got seated and it took 20 min to get served and thats because i had to get someones attention. I said "excuse me, is someone going to help us" because other people were getting helped when we were there before them!! After that i get eyes rolled at because im asking questions about the menu and i quote "how many eggs are used for this plate" What the heck is wrong with this establishment? This is the 2nd time the family and i have been to this Denny's. The 1st time the service was quick and the waiter was okay and nice. When the food came looked good. I always get Moons over my hammy breakfast sandwich. The taste was waaaay off. And to top it off I had a hair on the eggs inside the sand which. My son got macaroni and cheese and he had 2 pieces of hair in his Mac and cheese. I don't know if it was the waiters beard hair or what but it just made my stomach uneasy. I know it happens. The 2nd time was today and we waited 30 min to be seated. Then once we got seated our waiter came right away took our order. 45 minutes to an hour later we got our drinks. I love my neighborhood Denny's. I live and work in the area and it is my number one breakfast place after my moms house. Flavio and Maria take care of us like family. This post only gets 2 stars because of the waitress. Nothing else about this experience was pleasant today. We both ordered steaks cooked medium and both got steaks cooked well. There was no flavor in the steaks, just over-cooked meat. Our toast was burnt to a cracker like crisp. We never got the pancake puppies we ordered and when I asked for napkins, we got 2. The worst thing is it wasnt just us, the table next to us were missing items and the table behind us were complaining about service from a previous visit. It was two other guys sitting in the back looking and smiling didn't say a word. It was a young lady cleaning the tables and she looked at us several time not once did she say anything.. but when I spoke with johnathan when he was able to come and ask how many was in my party? I will never go here again and im gunna make sure no one i know does either. I call in a phone order and am greated by am annoyed black female whom sounds like she brings all her drama at home to work. I ask for the chicken wrap that is appeartly discontinued. I asked what it is replaced with and her response us you can go online and see the menu. After I giving up to reason with her decide , order the next best thing the turkey sandwich. Before u could say I didn't want any sauce she cuts me off with anything else...this happened two more time before the breif 3 minute called is ended. Thinking she is busy I drive there and am not so kuch as greatest by a friend gave only the question here , a pick up. I shake my head and ask for a menu.
