The food itself was delicious. However the service was terrible. A woman brought us our drinks and when we tried to order she walked away. At a different table, the people asked a passing waitress for something. She snapped "I'm not your waitress," then walked away. The woman who checked me out criticized my math and wouldn't let me pay for my friend while she was in the bathroom. Overall, I'm not happy with this establishment. In the future I'll be traveling farther to visit a quality Denny's. read more

Trash. I called in they told me it would be an hour wait if I ordered online... so I did and got there an hour after I ordered it. They then told me someone already came in and got my food..that I already paid for. Turns out when your food is ready they shout your name and give it to the first person who is hungry.. then they IDed me which they did not do to the person who stole my food. Jeet the manager is garbage and was extremely rude to me after they made a mistake, continuing to question me on why I didn't come in until an hour after I ordered it. That's when the lady that I talked to on the phone admitted to jeet that she told me it would be about an hour.. also when I was waiting for my food to be cooked from scratch I heard the waitress with the nasty fake eyebrows badmouthing other customers.. customer service is not a thing with this restaurant. And they have no method put in place to make sure people aren't stealing your food. They could check the debit/credit card that was used to pay for the order, they could ask for ID, they can simply ask you what you ordered, or they could ask you to show them the email confirmation of the order.... they do none of these things until after you get your food stolen. So I saw an advertisement for a biscuit & gravy breakfast...one biscuit & gravy, two eggs and hash browns...for $4. What a deal! Based on the reviews of this restaurant, I was extremely skeptical about trying out this Denny's. It was fine. It was a dated restaurant, appeared fairly clean, and smoking is not allowed 25 feet from building. The two waitresses were friendly and service was fairly fast. Open trash in the stalls where women put their used sanitary products, blood on the wall in the handicap stall, and the baby changing station I would NEVER place my child on. It is gross! We only ate here because we stayed at the hotel behind it and breakfast ended at 9am and you got a 10% discount with your hotel key. It was one of the better Denny's I ate at. Your typical Denny's food. It was good, mediocre. The staff was great, very friendly and attentive. read more

I will never eat at this restaurant again. Came in on Sunday morning 7/16/2016 ordered our food and thought everything was great. My fiancé ordered pancakes and after finishing them we noticed white things in the new syrup bottles. Walked in midday not too crowded the place smelled bad, not even certain how to explain it had a funk/stench of unclean unwashed body oder. Waited a few minutes before we were greeted after looking around we decided anywhere has to be better than this we walked out without saying a word. Granted Denny's is not a destination restaurant more like a place you go when your stove fails and your favorite restaurant is closed, all that said the place reeks of unclean and gross. Kinda wonder who would go here and why and how has this place stayed open for nearly 40 years, not a worry clearly I am not the target clientele and promise I will not set foot in here again and probably not set foot in a Denny's anywhere, it is desperation food with a side order of filth. I visited your restaurant tonight for the second time since it has been remodeled, and it looks amazing first of all, total overhaul on a place I've been going to for 30+ years! The staff is amazing, so helpful, fast, and friendly! Our servers who worked so nicely together by the way, were Donna and Annie, and Tony made sure to come over and check on us also and grabbed a to go box. The food was so fresh and tasted wonderful, I got a side salad that was cold, fresh with no squishy tomatoes, and a Cali club sandwich, with some smothered fries in the side. It was all so tasty! I am giving this Denny's a five star because we enjoy the food, the service is great, it is clean and a comfortable atmosphere, it is very affordable, and my husband gets a military discount. We generally eat breakfast at Denny's at least once a week. It is an affordable place for just about anybody. Here are a few tips: We often take advantage of the value menu that is on every table offering food for as little as $2. It does not come with the menus that are handed to us. We also look for the slams either in the value menu or the main menu that comes with two drinks- coffee and juice- and we split the meal (we seniors don't have as big of an appetite as we used to). Our servers have always been gracious about it. Sometimes we order an extra stack of pancakes from the value menu. My husband and I can usually have breakfast with drinks for the both of us totalling around $12 to $14. This makes our $5 tip seem a little more generous. We decided to change it up last week and did the build your own slam. It turned out to be not the most efficient choice. We ended up spending over $18 plus $5 tip. But we can't complain because over all, Denny's is our favorite place to have breakfast at an affordable price. If you look hard enough you can find those deals. read more

Food was 3 stars, service is minus 1, bathrooms were disgusting. From the second we walked in our waitress - Tasha - was very rude. The place only had two other occupied tables but she took about 3 minutes to even say welcome to Denny's while she worked on the cash register at the breakfast bar, then sat us down and walked off did not offer us a drink until about 15 minutes later. We told her then that we were ready to order and she said and I quote " actually the other table is about ready so how about you just order a drink for now." REALLY I am not joking. So we asked for coffee and water, which she came back with about 5-10 minutes later and decided she was ready for us to order. My husband ordered the spaghetti and meatballs and a milkshake, I ordered the veggie skillet. She never came back around to even check on my coffee before our food came out 30 minutes later so I had to stir my coffee with my finger... (at this point I am wondering how they ever got that speed of service award they proudly display at their entrance.) When she did come back it was with our meals, she dumped mine right on top of the magazine I was reading - did not even apologize and proceeded to watch me tweak it out from under the skillet. We had to call her back for silverware - which she did not apologize for. The veggie skillet was scalding hot, burned my tongue - I am not complaining about hot food that is the way it should come out but scalding is a little much. Not one minute later she came back to ask us how our food was and I told her too hot to eat right now, she smirked and walked off (what has this woman got against us??!!) even her non-verbals were rude. I plan on calling their manager about her tomorrow. When we were done she dropped off our bill - my husband still waiting on his milkshake decided not to bother with it at this point. We noticed she charged for coffee twice also. When we went to pay we told her the coffee was on there twice and he never got his shake - she actually had the NERVE to double check the table to make sure and then spotted it half made over by the kitchen and said "well I had started it but never got back to it," to which I replied yeah he never got it and she said "I know I was just saying". She did not apologize for that until we were leaving and at that point it was obviously out of necessity, not sincerity. Do not recommend this Denny's. I've been here at least 3-4 times since I've moved to Bremerton and every time my food has been absolutely terrible. In the picture of the steak Cobb salad the picture it looks like it comes with more than one egg in the picture and I asked for a few more not aware that it's $2.30 for each individual boiled egg that you ask for. The steak on the salad tasted like it was cooked hours before because it was cold and dry. I've gone back in hopes of getting better food and ordering something new each time and every time I'm disappointed once again. read more

I went in on Wednesday night around 11:30. It was the first time i have been there in a long time. They have totally remodeled it and it looks fabulous. I got excellent service from my waitress, Jennifer. She says she's new but seems to be a perfect fit for Denny's. She was prompt and attentive. Our drinks stayed full and the food was excellent. Wow. We will not be back. The 5 of us went there for a family night, which doesn't happen often. We ordered pretty standard items but had 6 things wrong. Our server did not write down ANYTHING which probably contributed to this. First we asked for white milk and got chocolate, then my son specifically asked for them to not put whipped cream on his food and it was covered. I understand that mistakes can happen and we did not complain about those but asked the Kids to deal with it, which they did. Then we realized that the "cheesy eggs" he had ordered had no cheese at all. Then more food comes out, my husband has to ask for a refill of his water after asking for a carafe which they said yes to but did not bring. His chicken wrap was not at all a wrap but 2 tiny taco shells leaking WAY too much ranch and wilting green leaf lettuce wrapped around the inside chicken. I got fries and asked if they had vinegar. He said yes and then brought me a bowl of some sort of balsamic vinaigrette that was sweet and not at all something I would dip my fries in. Again we had to ask for refills, as well as boxes for the extra food and our bill. We were not asked how our meal was or they would've heard all of this! Not impressed at all. The only small positive note was when my daughter tripped and fell they actually checked to make sure she wasn't hurt. While I appreciate that, we will not likely return which is a shame as we were previously pretty big Denny's fans. read more

Took us 40 minutes to get our tab and we wanted to take our food home but the busser cleaned it up while we were looking for our waiter. After an hour we started to walk out and our waiter made a huge scene and threatened to call the cops when we asked him to comp our meal for the wait. Turns out the shifty waiter was also the manager and started a scene in front of the whole room yelling at us, saying we were liars. I just kept pointing to the clock and the ticket time and he kept calling us names. Absolutely ridiculous. We literally were only in town to visit my Nana who has a curfew at her home, and now we are going to have to arrive after hours. Getting fast dining food should NEVER take 2 hours. At two this morning, my 8-month-old daughter was having a hard time sleeping. While she was fussing, her fingernails found my cornea, and after trying to sleep it off, I was forced to drive to the hospital by myself while my husband stayed home with her. After hours at the ER, I was hungry, and I decided to get some breakfast at Denny's. I watched an entire episode of Frasier on my phone before they took my order (which was somewhat understandable because it was Saturday morning), but my busboy was pretty on-the-ball once my food arrived. When my order summary arrived, however, I was not offered a pen with which to write my tip and total. When I went to the front register to pay for my meal, I discovered that in the panic to go to the ER, I had not taken my debit card with me. This is when the day turned even worse for me. I had my card number written down, but this was (understandably) not enough for the manager. He wanted me to leave my driver's license and drive home to get my debit card, which was not going to happen. He was rude about it - in fact, everyone I talked to was rude about it. One waitress who was involved in no way made a point to come over and yell at me about how I shouldn't expect free food. I hadn't asked for free food; I was trying to resolve the issue. My busboy told me that if I didn't pay, his manager would take the price of my meal out of his paycheck (which is illegal). Then my busboy suggested that I leave my phone with them and drive home and back again. I wasn't about to leave my phone with an establishment that was disorganized, rude, busy, and took advantage of its workers. I'm not complaining about them needing to verify that my card was mine (which we eventually did, once my husband was woken up and sent me a picture of my card from home). I'm complaining about how rude everyone was through the entire process. Yeah, my hair was a mess and I was wearing sweats and I made a mistake. I was having a rough day, but I wasn't rude to anyone. They had no call to treat me like a criminal, and even if I was a criminal, they were very unprofessional. When it finally came time to sign the bill, I was offered a receipt with no place for a tip. Despite everything, I had intended to leave a 20% tip, but when I mentioned that there was no space for me to write in a tip, the cashier was rude to me, acting as though it was my fault. That was it for me. I had just dropped the receipt on accident, so I left it there and walked out. Too bad for the busboy who was the only one who actually did his job in a professional manner, and was going to be mistreated if I didn't pay. He deserved that tip. read more

From a friend: I took my family out to breakfast on Sunday morning, 02/18 at the Denny's in Bremerton, WA on Kitsap Way. We finished our meal and I went up to pay. I put my card in the chip reader, added the tip and the kiosk indicated that it was approved. A moment later the gentleman at the front desk said to try again because it did not go through and said declined. I let him know that it said approved on my end. At this time I took out my phone to bring up my bank account to make sure it hadn't been taken out as he wanted me to run my card again. My bank account showed the debited amount. I told him that it was out of my bank account and that it went through. He went and got the manager. The manager proceeded to tell me that I had to run my card again because it was showing that it was still open in their system. I showed him that it was debited out of my account and he said that they have been having problems with their system but it was not out of my account and would come off. He continued to argue with me in front of many patrons. Again, I showed him that it was taken out of my account. I let him know that if it dropped off I would come back and pay but as of right now it was out of my account and said approved. He was raising his voice so I told him I was done and walked out where he followed me yelling at me to get back in the store. He took a picture of myself and my car ALTHOUGH I HAD PAID and had proof. After being home for about an hour I had the police knock on my door and asked what happened. I showed him that the amount was in fact debited out of my account and you could tell he was frustrated that I had proof and told the manager and he still did this. This was incredibly embarrassing, degrading and was a horrible experience. If this is in fact a known glitch in the system I would hope something is being done. Today is Tuesday, 02/20 and the amount of the approved transaction is still out of my account. I cannot believe I had to go through this and that customer service was so bad from someone who was a manager. I have never been treated so rudely. To have the police called on me when I had proof that I paid is just absurd. read more

Lastnight we went to Denny's on Kitsap Way for dinner. The waiter asks us what we would like to drink. My daughter who has a problem with stuttering stuttered when she ordered. The waiter then laughes and mimics her. I look at my daughter who now is embarrassed and trying not to break into tears see if she's ok and ask the waiter "did you really just do that" he laughs and says I'll be back with your drinks and walks away. So we get up and leave and go to a different place so one I dont kill this guy and end up in jail and two my daughter doesnt need to go through that. Then I spend the rest of the night trying to calm her down cause she doesnt understand and is asking why an adult would make fun of her. I will never step foot in that place again..... Let me inform you my daughter is 8 years old and cried herself to sleep. I spent I dont know how long laying next to her listening to her cry because of our Denny's experience. read more
