My girlfriend and I came to this Dennys after an appointment around 2PM. We were starving and thought "What could go wrong, it's Denny's!" However, we couldn't be more wrong. We came in and saw over a dozen open tables and it still took over 5 minutes to be addressed so we can be seated. Once we were seated the waiter only signaled to us that he would be with us from afar. After 10 more minutes we were finally able to get some water to drink. He said he'll be back soon to bring us our water and take our orders. He must have forgot. After another wait we got our water and ordered our meals. While we were waiting I was watching multiple customers have to get up to ask for a refill, or napkins or for hot sauce. The waiting staff was completely inattentive and the manager was sitting there eating french fries and pancakes instead of paying attention to the customer's needs. I even watched an elderly woman have to get up to go ask for more coffee. The food was so-so. Oddly, the best part was the mozzerella sticks, they were great! We each got a burger and they were OK and nothing to either complain or praise about. If you only care about the food and not the service, then this place is an OK joint. However, if you want to feel like you matter as a customer then try to avoid this place. read more

Look, I get it: It's a Denny's. Giving a Denny's 5 stars would normally automatically qualify me for food stamps and a lifetime TiVo subscription to "Here Comes Honey Boo-Boo". But this Denny's is awesome - like, "Hey, they took that horrible show about redneck child abuse off the air" kind of awesome! My wife and I are regulars here; the chef always knows what we're going to order, and the late-night servers are always friendly and stay on top of the drink refills. The best compliment I can give this place is: I think they embody what a Denny's was actually meant to be when the chain first opened, before anyone had their opinion tainted by going to some other Denny's. read more

This Denny's is located smack in the middle of Arcadia's bar section. So, when you feel like grabbing a late night snack between, say, 1:00 AM - 2:30 AM in the morning, get ready for some action! If I go to hell, I think my punishment will be to work as a Denny's server. Coincidentally, this is why Denny's gets three stars. I have frequent this Denny's for years. But throughout the years the service and quality of food has been going down hill. We get an attentive server every now and again but it's a gamble each time. Tonight, my husband and I were craving some pancakes so we went over to Denny's. The dining room wasn't too busy and it looked like they had about 3 or 4 servers. We stood in the lobby for a while, and as servers walked around to check on their tables, they never glance our way or greeted us. After a while, one of the servers finally acknowledged us and uttered a lackluster "be right there". She finished up with her table and walked over to the counter but she thought we were paying. We asked for a table of 2 and she seemed caught off guards "oh?" Then she asked the other servers something... maybe about where to seat us? I'm not sure but she had an attitude of not wanting to seat or serve us. We ended up telling her we changed our mind and decided to leave. If that was an indication of the type of service we were going to get, then we didn't really want to stick around for it. Sadly, I don't know if I'd return. After the 626 night market my friends and I came to this denny's, and there were so many free tables, but they took awhile to seat us and as we were waiting for our drinks to come we discovered a roach crawling over one of the booths and when the waitress and waiter came back we let them know and the girl just said "ew" and the guy said "well did you guys get rid of it or" and asked if we still wanted to eat here. Poor service. I understand how it is to be swamped with customers, especially at 1 am on a Saturday night, but it should not take 45 min to take an order nor wait another 45 min for the food. I've worked in the restaurant business so I know how crazy it gets and I can say that I am fairly an understanding person when it comes to wait times but to see the servers have no sense of urgency at all to try to speed up the process was bothering me. After an hour and a half wait to get my food, we decided to take it to go since the wait was annoyingly long. Service here is great, especially when Ching is taking care of you. She is the nicest lady ever! You always get service with a smile. The food here is also good and consistent. Not my greatest experience at a Denny's; I've been here a few times, but it's been quite a while- each time I hope it's better than the last, but unfortunately is not. This particular location gets the A-OK vote because of the fact that the service that I received while making a visit to this location was nothing short of extraordinary. I had a Filipina lady as my server and she was really nice and attentive. I wish I had remembered her name so that she can get some recognition for that. Again, however, it's your run of the mill Denny's food. Denny's is often a sensible choice for that late night hungries that may strike after a long night out with your friends. I've never felt like we were forgotten in the corner, which can happen so easily when you're in a diner at 1am. The food is typical Denny's fare. Though it is always well prepared and hot. We've never had to send food back. The wait staff is amazing. They're always friendly and helpful! Emillie, Patti, and Gus always have smiles on their faces. Moulin Denny's is the best of all Denny's. I'm living in a motel nearby (long story), so I've been through this particular windmill more than I'd like to admit, and this place's wait staff have as much personality as the architecture. Also, there's a nice picture in the left-side way-back of somebody repelling down Abe's face on Mount Rushmore. I'd never seen that picture before. I prefer going for lunch or late dinner than for breakfast, since there's a really good bagel shop (Goldstein's) about a block away. They actually boil the bagel's first, like you're supposed to. Just got back from THE WORST service & food EVER at this place! Took 30minutes to get our food after we waited 20 to get our order taken! Normally when my family & I come here, Desiree takes our order, & she is THE BEST waitress! Not tonight, after praising the customer service to my mom, we got THE WORST SERVICE EVER!!!! So one guy takes our order, another guy comes by after 10-15 minutes, asks my son if he would like a refill on his Sprite. We wait and wait and wait and wait, his soda never returns. Then my daughter notices a table that was seated way after us already getting their food!!!! WTF!?! So I stop the manager Art. I ask him, excuse me, I'm wondering if you could check two things for me. He says yes, I tell him, can you please check to find out where my son's refill went and where our food is? He darts away to find out. Comes back in less than a minute with the soda refill and the food. I have never seen food served in such a horrible state! The Moons over my Hammy sandwich was flat, bread mushy, hash browns burned (not crispy) & cold. The salmon dinner - OMG - the salmon piece was hard, way overdone, & so dry - it looked like tree bark! The club sandwich was floating (yes floating) in the grease from the undercooked onion rings & the bread (I said not toasted) albeit toasted, was soggy from sitting in the grease for so long. Tomatoes had gotten smushy, lettuce was wilted, and mayo has become a dark yellow glue holding the dry turkey hostage. Needless to say we were all hungry and started eating. We didn't finish. Couldn't. Got grossed out. Then had to hunt someone down (they were all in the front gabbing and ignoring customers!) to get my check! I left $2 for tip and that was $2 too much but don't want to put bad karma out there. Hopefully we don't get sick from all that grease and I don't think we shall be going back for awhile. I just want to start off by saying that Emmie our waitress was incredibly amazing. I'll say that I get it at 3 am in the morning It can be incredibly frustaing and tiring to just be there. But Emmie was so wonderful, happy, welcoming and helpful. She was on top of her game. As a Server at a Prime steakhouse and wine bar, she showed the love, care and attention that we treat our guests effortlessly. She made our whole night. I would be so happy to come back! This Denny's is horrible. I ordered the kids spaghetti with sauce on the side and fries and an extra side of broccoli. We also ordered soup and the breakfast sandwich. The soup came out 5 minutes ahead of everything else even though we made it indoors it was the main course. The kids meal was ridiculous. The plain spaghetti came out covered in cheese and the sauce was practically black. The portion size was about half the size of my little ones fist and then the sides were tiny. She got a total of 12 fries, but 8 of them were the size of a Hurd of a regular French fry or shorter. The broccoli was all yellow and limp. It's a good thing there wasn't much of it so I didn't feel bad about her wasting food by not eating it. And finally to add insult to injury, they brought out a stick of garlic toast. Literally, it was a piece that was about the size of the crust of a Normal piece of bread. I understand it's a kids meal, but seriously. I really love Denny's and have never been so disappointed. Don't come here. Keep driving East on Huntington about 5 miles to the Denny's in Duarte. The service is awesome, the portions are regular sized, and the food tastes like it should. read more

My family and I (party of five) had a horrible experience at this Denny's location. When called to our seat we were yell at from across the room, because apparently, it was too much for the waitress to walk over to us to let us know our table was ready. We sat and explain to her that we were ready to order, she told us we had to wait but she would bring our drinks. 15 mins later she took our order, it took her 25 mins later to check back in with us only to tell us our food wasn't ready. Another 15 minutes went by and I saw her placing salad, cheese, etc. On to bowels with her bare hands. she comes over and tells us the salad with ranch dressings we're for us. At that point, we got up and left. On top of all of this, her family arrived at the same time we did it took her 10 minutes to bring out their food. Evening shift No thank you.
