Called Dennis Moffitt for a quote on a house I was purchasing in Narragansett. Estimator came out to house. 1 week later, many calls to there office and no return calls. I found out the current owner had them paint the outside 9 years ago. The house has extensive pealing and wood rot. They did a HORRIBLE job. Glad they never followed up on the quote. I would stay away from them based on the current condition of the house. read more

We have used them for a number of exterior and interior projects and always been happy with their work- until now. Recently we had them epoxy our garage floors and are very unhappy with the work. The floors are incredibly slippery resulting in falls. After noting the slippery conditions I contacted them to see if they added an anti slip agent to the top coat and never received an answer. I'm very disappointed that they haven't stood behind their work or even answered my question. This was an expensive project and I would definitely NOT recommend using them for work at this point. read more

We recently moved to Rhode Island and made the decision to upgrade our kitchen. The oak cabinets and granite are in good shape, so we decided to investigate having the cabinets sprayed, along with the center island. As we are new to the state and could not rely on a referral, we investigated a number of companies online. We made an appointment with a representative of Dennis Moffett and after meeting with him and discussing the process, pricing, etc., we did not interview anyone else. We scheduled our project and also met with a color consultant, who assisted us in choosing complementary colors for the cabinets, island and walls. From the first day on site, the crew arrived on time and well-prepared. They are highly skilled, not only in the actual execution of the spraying, but also in the prep work necessary to protect all of the other parts of the kitchen. Any flaws in our cabinets were addressed before spraying, which further improved their appearance. When we could not locate the correct hinges to replace our old ones, the company was able to provide a resource and we ordered exactly what was needed. At the conclusion of the project, we realized what is so special about Dennis Moffett. They treated our home with the same care that they treat their own. The highest level of satisfaction is referring a company to family and friends. We would recommend Dennis Moffett without hesitation. They are that good. Our experience was not that great. Very expensive outfit and the actual painting was fine (and the lead painter was a nice guy) but the before (prep) and after left a lot to be desired given the price. Bleach was used to power wash the house (not really needed) and in the process landscaping was destroyed (to be fair the company issued a credit to replace the plants but that left us with having to dig them out, source and replant). Bleach also got on the wall of an outbuilding (not a huge deal, but for the price not to be expected). I was asked to drive down to the site following the project ostensibly to sign and get a "warranty" on the job but after pointing out some of the issues I was presented with a sheet of paper to sign that was not warranty but rather indicating I was fully satisfied with the job. I found that a bit disrespectful. My advice if you use this company is to def get competing quotes and to fully supervise their prep work. read more

Dennis Moffitt Painting came highly recommended and lived up to its reputation. We live out of state and were looking to have our condo painted while we were away. The staff worked with us to determine a mutually convenient schedule. An employee working on our unit contacted us when he began to work, sent us photos of the progress and let us know when they were finished (with more photos). The work was of high quality, the left over paint was clearly identified and our unit was left as clean as we had left it. DMP employees were pleasant and reliable. Hired DMP to paint my 20 year old kitchen cabinets and island. They showed up on the day they stated and on time. They promptly built a "spray room" in my kitchen with plastic where all my bases were cleaned, sanded and sprayed. Doors go to the shop. Consistently asked my husband and I to look over the work daily and let them know if there was anything we weren't happy with. My doors came back perfect, they attached new hardware and my cabinets are now soft close to boot! The paint job is perfect!!!! I feel like I have a new kitchen. Recently needed to paint the exterior of my Narragansett summer home and talked to good friend who recommended Dennis Moffitt Painting. It was getting into early Fall but I called Dennis Moffitt and they could not have been nicer and within a week they sent out a representative who took measurements and in a few days responded with a estimate! Fortunately they were able to schedule my job before Winter and the entire process was excellent and it was apparent from the outset that customer satisfaction was very important to DMP! DMP did an excellent and very professional job matching the color I wanted, they protected everything around the house and their cleanup was spotless! We had DMP do a ceiling repair and paint job. Overall poor job on the ceiling repair as it is quite noticeable. Fair job on the painting but some sloppy work around the ceiling lights. I expect better for the price I paid. They also did not show up when scheduled. Had to call to remind them even after I confirmed myself a couple days before. Very poor customer service as they tried to blame me for their issues. I have sent them a couple emails with my concerns and never heard a word from them. I had used them in the past with good results but not this time. Perhaps they have gotten to big for the general homeowner. read more
