Two guides, one to lead and one to carry up the stragglers. Safe, good pace for us with some experience but not expert. A side trip to see a castle.
The diving component was generally good - I believe my largest issues were difference of expectations from another country. The people from the shop were generally helpful and all of the needed equipment was ready for us when we arrived. They were also great about communicating via email in advance of our trip and adjusting as our schedule changed upon arriving (we arrived earlier than planned and wanted to move the dive trip two days earlier). We got to see the plan wreck and the canyon. I wouldn't NOT use them, but I don't know that they are any better than any other dive shop around.
A note about the differences in countries. The hardest difference was that air and depth are measured differently outside of the US and Caribbean. The numerical translation was an added challenge that made it more stressful combined with an unexpected current and wearing a wet suit that also changed the dynamics. Also, we are used to two tank dives for a half day trip, but here the norm is one tank followed by sunning and snorkeling. I suppose that wouldn't be bad for a casual but we were there to dive as much as possible and wile the cost seemed comparable to what we'd seen elsewhere, it turned out to be much higher given it was only one tank. Finally, most dives we've been on, we are the only group at the site. Here, it seemed like the dive shops all coordinated to be at the same site at the same time so there was a lot of traffic at ever site which again made it less relaxed than normal.
