They will not push you to do work you don't need and they will advise you on how to fix your car as best as possible based on your budget. Right now this is the only repair shop I trust wholeheartedly. The one drawback is that you may have to wait several days to get an appointment because they are very popular (it's a small shop with only two mechanics - Joe the owner and his assistant) but they will work with you if you have an emergency, you will just have to wait an extended amount of time to get the car back. Whenever you drop your car off, be prepared to wait the entire day for the repair or possibly until the next day, but your car will be fixed right and they won't spring any surprises on you. If there's some other issue with the car, they'll call you and ask you what you want to do. I really like these guys they have integrity.

Here's…read morewhy: I've been taking my 5 yr old car with under 20K miles to the dealer for reg maint for several yrs. At my last dealer appt I was given 4 recommended services each over $200. Just 4 mos before I was told it was in excellent condition. Now I'm told even drive belt is in critical need of replacement. Uh? I decided to get another opinion at the The Fort Lee Getty on Palisade Ave, Ft. Lee. I just drove in to ask how much they would charge to check the belt, since that seemed the most critical. The owner, I believe that is Effie, came to my car, popped the hood, looked and said: 'You don't need a new belt.' And then he pointed to the belt to show me it had no signs of damage/wear and needn't be replaced before 60K miles!. He even went on to state other unnecessary services dealers may recommend. He got them all right! Like a psychic! I think he just knows their routine. He asked for nothing. I will be making my next service appts at Ft. Lee Getty on Palisade Ave.

I had a flat tire from the night before and then also suddenly received a coolant alert in the morning. Not only did they put my spare tire on and refill the coolant without charging me, but they also called the nearby Mavis Discount Tire to confirm they had a replacement tire for me and got me an appointment for the very same morning! The Air Pump machine is located in one of the corners of the lot (closer to the cross-street, and further from Rt 10, on the right side of the lot). Recently, I had a deflating tire situation while I was out driving on Route 10. It wasn't a full blowout but the car dashboard was already showing alerts. Of course, I was freaking out because we didn't yet have a portable tire inflator in the trunk; we were just SOL. You think that every gas station has air pumps; not true! After stopping at two that didn't, the Quickchek was a lifesaver. It's a relatively new Quickcheck (about a few years old), so the machines and everything are new and working well. In short, go to this Quickchek if you find yourself in a jam with a deflating tire on Route 10!
