We went to this restaurant for lunch today after touring the Colosseum. And I'm glad we did! We ordered the following: Sauteed Clams and Mussels - 5/5: Absolutely delicious. The broth was white wine based, and the flavor was pretty mild letting the taste of the shellfish shine through. After finishing the clams and mussels, we sopped up all the broth with the grilled bread that was provided! Diavola (spicy salami) Pizza - 5/5: So yummy. Very thin crust, super flavorful tomato sauce cheese and the salami. Grilled Squid - 3/5: For me, this was the one miss of the meal. Not much flavor and accompanied with side of some lettuce. Lasagna - 5/5: Comes out piping hot in a crock pot. Nothing fancy here, just really good "basic" lasagna. Decor was pretty standard versus the other streetside restaurants we saw and the service was good.

Had breakfast at Delizie e Sapori bc they were directly across the street from the meet up point for our Colosseum, Palatine Hill, & Roman Forum tour. We ordered cappuccinos, American style omelette, croissant, OJ, and Nutella pancakes. Great experience... we left for our tour. Our daughter chose to come back for a late lunch after our tour. All the wait staff remembered us. Obi was fantastic. We were treated very well and glad we came back after the tour. We paid by credit card and didn't have enough EUR to tip the wait staff. They deserve it. I highly recommend Obi and everyone at Delizie e Sapori when you are in the Monti district of Rome. We will be back the next time we are in Rome.

This place is a good spot to have a bite but it isn't without its faults. The service ok; our server was nice to us but another waiter kept coming by and silently dropping off food at our table that we didn't order, and brought us the wrong food multiple times. Once we got our food though it really was tasty; I had the Gnocchi (pesto) and I loved it. It has really cute ambiance as well.

Thought this place was perfectly fine. The gang was in need of some A/C after traveling from the states and prepping for the Colosseum. I got a Hugo Spritz which was refreshing and post lunch an espresso martini. The server went to bring the martini over, owner saw it en route and had it returned to the bartender to put crushed espresso beans on top which I liked and made me like the owner. Food was fine! I got a seafood type pasta dish, bf got seafood risotto which he devoured and our friend got a bolognese which he thought was fine. Servers ended our visit with complimentary melon cello shots which of course we thought was fun. Too many likely better spots to comeback but didn't hate it by any means! read more
This very very expensive tourist restaurant is on a major street near the Forum. They offer air conditioning inside away from heat and fresh seafood so that's a major plus. Service was ok and helpful. But that's where things get a little weird. How much do you think 3 Bellini, a Compari and a fried calamari plate cost? The calamari was admittedly very good and fresh. We liked it very much but when the bill of $88.00 just for these items. Wow, my thoughts were TOURIST TRAP! They charged us and even had the nerve to ask for a tip... this is a not customary in Italy since they already add a service charge. The Imperial pizzeria a block away was less than $90 for our entire full meal and drinks. And they don't ask for tips. AVOID THIS PLACE! Unless you absolutely need AC. Then ask to see the menu and prices or don't order. read more

10/10 do not recommend. This meal ruined our first day/meal in Rome while visiting. Staff kept recommending their seafood and how fresh they are. - they were NOT fresh. We come from New England area (Boston) and we would like to say we can tell what's a good oyster or not. Immediately when they served us the oysters you could tell they looked bad. They tasted expired if I had to describe it. We ended up just wasting them. Waited never asked us how much steak we wanted nor asked us how we like it cooked. Which we thought was strange. When paying for the bill it was a total of $286.93. We were caught off guard because we didn't expect our meal to be almost $300 for what we normally would order in sorrento. When we asked why it ended up being so expensive, they said that the steak was by GRAMS and that tip was also not included. Never again. Here is a photo of our regular well done steak and lobster linguine which also did not have any flavor. read more

Food is meh... not much flavor in anything. It's not gross, it's just mediocre. The servers all spoke English quite well. They forgot about us a few times though and we had to ask them if we could order. read more

Do not trust their menu prices! I ordered the 15 euro lobster linguini and they tried to charge me 15 euros per 100 grams of lobster. When I got my bill, my jaw dropped. Not only did they not share it would be around 100 euros, but they didn't weigh it in front of me, and the woman the table over who ordered the same thing had the same blindsided reaction as I did. Oddly enough, both of us were provided "550 gram lobsters." Odd - isn't it? Do not go here as they are unethical, misleading, and the food wasn't even that good. read more

We stumbled upon this place after leaving the colosseum. Should've kept walking. The food was bland and overpriced. The waiter was pushing expensive meals on us. He seemed annoyed when we weren't taking his suggestions. Made the mistake of saying yes to the calamari appetizer. They charged us $40 for the calamari, saying it was market pricing. We paid cash. The waiter never came back with our change. Trash food, trash service. read more

I didn't know I was capable of finishing a whole plate of pasta, but my meal was so delicious, I couldn't stop eating.

Great gem in Rome. Frankly, Rome has the best food and these streetside restaurants are the best and their locations are very convenient to a lot of the hotels. read more

Typical tourist spot near the Colosseum. When paying our bill the server asked if we wanted to leave a tip- I pointed out the 10% servicio charge was already added (common in Italy and no additional tip would be expected) and he explained this was a tax not a tip. Which is a flat out lie and a clear attempt to scam American tourists out of a few euros. Fortunately we knew better and you should too. Food and drinks were fine but best to spend your money at a place with honest waitstaff. read more

This place looks like a tourist trap, but it's shockingly good! The pizza I had here was arguably the best pizza I had during my time in Rome. Even if it is for tourists, I'd happily eat here again. read more

It's right across from my hotel. It looked like a tourist trap. We were just so tired from all the walking then we'd decided to eat here. The service was wonderful. I took off a star because I thought my pasta was just okay. The appetizer and pizza were quite good. The stake was pretty tasty. It's a better choice than the other restaurant across the street with loud music. read more

My Fiance and I love this restaurant. We ate dinner twice there. Their food was delicious. I had the baked sea bass and my fiance had the seafood pasta. The staff was very friendly, especially Tony. He made us laugh and recommended our second dinner which was amazing. It was grilled fish and grilled octopus with a bottle of red wine. Oh and I can't forget, their garlic bread was so good. When we visit Rome again we will definitely go back to that restaurant. read more

Being from The USA this is one of the best Classic American Style breakfasts you will find in Rome. Very nice and friendly waiters who actually take pride in their food and dining experience. Extremely clean bathrooms and restaurant in general. The waiter Franco greeted us at the front and was extremely nice. This was the very best meal we have had in Rome and will return tonight for dinner. read more

The best thing about this restaurant was the server, who was quite friendly and very accessible. Unfortunately, on most other fronts, the quality was quite poor. My friend ordered berry pancakes and I ordered the special breakfast, which was similar to an English breakfast. While the croissant, cappuccino, and orange juice were brought out quickly, it was nearly forty minutes until our main meal was served to us. The pancakes and scrambled eggs weren't fully cooked with large portions still liquid. While it was lovely to sit outside in the shade, I wouldn't recommend this restaurant after our experience here. read more

Great food and service. Tony, the host was very good and made us feel at home. He was very courteous. Best restaurant that we ate at in Rome. He even got us a taxi after we finished our meal!!! A must go to while in Rome. It's in the colesium area. read more

Nice place for a tourist trap. We had a baked fish, filet mignon and bunch of appetizers as well as tiramisu. Food was delicious, good service but a bit pricy. Very satisfactory dinner overall. read more
I ordered the steak filet, the garlic bread, fried calamari and an avocado salad and the waiter ordered an extra caprese salad for us so beware when the waiter says he'll take care of you. The steak had a bit of a burned flavor for my taste but it was cooked medium well as I ordered. The avocado salad was delicious, the garlic bread was crisp and the calamari was tasty. For drinks I ordered a fresh squeeze orange juice and a bottle of water. The bill came to€80 and the waiter told us it didn't include a tip. We would have tipped him anyway but I notice that they only asked for tips from American patrons. We still left a €3 tip but probably would have given more if he didn't ask for one. read more

Inedible. Pastas were salty and oversauced. Ordered the carbonara with truffles--no truffles, just truffle oil. Way overpriced for what they're serving. read more

Horrible service. The waiter was trying to play casa nova with a group of girls instead attending to us customers. When we ordered our food the waiter said we make our food from scratch and we will do whatever you want. My wife ordered risotto with salmon and I ordered the lasagna. 30 mins later the fkn waiter comes and says are you good with eating your salmon with pasta??wtf!!! Really?? I said no she ordered risotto so she wants risotto. By the time we got our food the lasagna was reheated who knows how many times and the risotto tasted like crap! You know what word I would rather use. This was our first spot to eat in Rome and I would NEVER go back. Stay awayyy!!! Trust me this fkn sh*t don't fly in the states! read more

Not sure why there are lack luster reviews so far. Service was excellent. Very friendly and accomodating. Food was also very good. We asked the waiter what he recommended and all three courses were excellent. Giving 5 starts to make up for odd ball reviews before me. Even the prices weren't that bad considering we were a block from the colesium. read more

Tourist trap. Drinks are watered down.... don't get the LI iced tea! Overpriced for what you get. The calamari is chewy. If you're coming from the coliseum or The Forum keep walking up the hill to another place! read more

Not the best we have had in ROme but also no complaints! Waiter was amazing! Friendly and welcoming, really funny and made us feel welcome! The calzone was delicious! Wasn't crazy about the pizza, cooked perfectly with a nice crisp crust but had a very strong cheese on it, couldn't tell what type, that I wasn't crazy about. My husband still enjoyed it tho! read more

Beware if you're American they will cheat you. They brought half our food and insisted on charging us for the food we didn't get. I didn't want to waste any more of our precious time in Rome arguing so I ended up paying €50 for 2 drinks and like 10 slices of salami. Don't make my same mistake and just steer clear. read more
