First visit was fine. Getting all my info etc. Which lead to testing. I had to reach out to Dr. Weiss to review the results which could easily have been a phone call. I was told it was an in person appt. She ran very late for my appt without anyone telling me how much longer I should expect to wait. I think she was nearly an hour past my appt before I saw her. Went over results. Came up with a plan. She disappeared in her office for long stretches of time while you're in the exam room. I did everything we talked about and got another round of tests a 2 months later. I've now learner nothing much changes in 2 months and the second round of blood tests should have been a few more months later. Had the second round of test. I got all my results from Quest Diagonsits and needed things explained to me. I called and texted with the office multiple times to have a follow up appt. At first who ever was on the texts was quick to reply. They then disappeared and I never got a call back from my multiple messages left on the office line. I will not be going back. I shouldn't have to work so hard to have my primary doctor review tests results with me. Can not recommend Dr. Weiss. read more

Loved her after my first visit. 3-4 days later, she calls my Psychiatrist and my mother (no release, just listed as emergency contact- I am an adult in my mid-20's) telling them I need to be admitted into hospital immediately, without seeing me, speaking to me, or examining me. The last person to receive a phone call was myself personally where she reiterates that I need to be admitted to the hospital immediately and that I need to be taken off of all my psychiatric medication immediately- for which she is not the prescribing doctor. After being hurried off the phone, I contact my mother and psychiatrist to try to figure out what on earth is going on. I speak to both of them, call her back, speak to her office staff and am assured she will return my call when done with her patient. She does not return my call. I go to my follow up today looking for an explanation for her actions- which she cannot provide. She offers a contradictory timeline of events and actions and says, "I deal with so many emergencies, it's hard to keep them straight." Her office staff rolled her eyes when my mother asked what the *** happened and gave the implication that this is a regular occurrence. She accused me of being an addict, having no judgment, and not knowing what I was talking about. Personally, I found her demeanor erratic, spacey, uninformed, and generally confused- perhaps like she was the one on too many drugs rather than me. Her actions led me to call into question not only her personal judgment but mostly her medical judgment. She promotes homeopathic remedies for psychiatric disorders which can only be managed by medication and offers medical advise outside her field of expertise. Additionally, as icing atop the cake, she was 45 mins late seeing me for my 1st appt and 25 for the second. Apparently this is her norm. For homeopathy, go see her. For real medicine, look elsewhere. I am seriously contemplating reporting her to the board. read more

I've been seeing Dr. Weiss for some time and have received excellent care. I've also recommended her to many friends because not only do I find her to be a very talented physician, she also tries other methods that don't always included a prescription. Dr. Weiss is an Internist not just a family doctor. This means that they have to know how all organs interact with each other and what meds will mess with other meds and bodily organs. I, personally, try to use an Internist as my primary due to this more rigorous program they go through. I've usually been seen on time but I know doctors' can get tied up with more sickly patients so I don't mind. I'd rather the doctor spend more time with someone who may need it than for my "minor" stuff and thank God they are still minor! I would definitely recommend Dr. Weiss. read more

I have a great deal of respect and admiration for professionals who intuitively treat the root cause rather than the symptoms. Dr. Delia Weiss is an outstanding doctor! She is caring and compassionate and provides amazing care for her patients! I've been a patient of hers every since she moved to Florida many years ago and she has taken wonderful care of me and my entire family. She calls and follows up after she sees us and checks on us when we are sick. She diagnosed me with pneumonia over the weekend and made sure I was cared for. Her nurse is absolutely lovely and has drawn my blood repeatedly without pain. I recommend Dr. Weiss very, very highly. read more

Dr. Weiss and her receptionist have no regards for people's time. This kind of doctor is what gives going to the doctor a bad reputation. They schedule patients for times when the doctor is not even in the office and leave you waiting for over an hour, even when she is in the office, she is more worried about he administrative tasks than her patients. I've personally had this experience with her a couple of times but gave her the benefit of the doubt, she may just be running late. My husband really needed to see a doctor and I suggested he go to her even though I am already in the process to find someone different because she's only "ok". They scheduled my husband for 10am, the Dr. didn't walk into her office until 10:30, then proceeded to work on administrative tasks instead of acknowledging the ONE patient in her office that had already been waiting for over 30 minutes. At 11am, he decided to walk out of her office without being seen, only to have her chase him down the parking lot to tell him she was ready to see him now. What a joke! I'm sorry I recommended him to her, and I will be sure to go to another doctor that respects my and other people's time going forward. Oh and btw, I called her to discussed what had happened because I was upset that my husband wasn't seen and she wouldn't talk to me. She said he could reschedule! read more

Dr. Weiss is the most caring, competent physician I know. She calls and checks on her patients to follow up on how they are feeling on a regular basis. Her compassion for her patients is above and beyond. I feel lucky to have her as my internist. She's also very knowledgeable about wellness. She keeps a close watch over her patients. Because her office called to see how I was doing, she rechecked me and had me treated for pneumonia which might not have been discovered quickly otherwise. I started to see Dr Weiss not long ago and have received great care. She made a physical assessment and provided an integral plan of action including medication and nutrition recommendations. Dr. Weiss has been my doctor for close to a year. Very friendly and knowledgeable. Sadly I had to find a new primary because the wait time and incredibly rude receptionist was enough to turn me away from the practice. Average 45 minute wait time. But the worst part is the receptionist is so unapologetic about it. No heads up when you walk in that they are backed up an hour. No update when you've been already waiting a half hour. Don't you dare go to the window and ask about how much longer it will be. She will give you the snarkiest, sarcastic response before slamming the glass window shut in your face. This isn't an isolated incident either. Been there at least 6 times and it's every time. Seen it with other patients too so I know it's not just me. No thanks. Move on. read more

Dr. Weiss really is an excellent doctor and really cares about her patients but unfortunately she consistently runs late and I don't know if her practice isn't doing well or if its just our health care system now and she is in need of money but I have on multiple occasions been charged for things I should not have been charged for and her office tries to get you to come in for extra visits so they can collect more money. My first few appointments she was about an hour behind schedule but like I said I really like Dr Weiss and I wanted to stay with her so I tried being her first appointment for the day, then I understood why she was always behind. I sat at her office for 45 minutes with the receptionist waiting for her to arrive to the office. In regards to being charge for things I should not have been charge for I was charged my copay for my annual physical- which the office made me schedule separate from other follow up visits. When I asked the receptionist why I had to pay a co-pay for a well annual routine physical she argued with me and me feel stupid for questioning her. I followed up with my health insurance provider and they informed me I should not have been charge for that visit. Then it was dr. Weiss idea for me to have all my care including my gyn care with her office. I go every year to my gyn doctor and I know I never have a co pay for my routine gyn preventative exam. They tried to charge me AGAIN! and I refuse to pay and now they are hounding me for 20$ when actually they should be crediting me 20$ for my well visit from the previous year. I'm also on birth control which routinely gets filled for 12 months at my gyn exam. Dr. Weiss would only fill it for 6 months because she wanted me to come back in ... aka to squeeze another 20 out of me! When I started to run out I asked if they could please fill my birth control for the other 6 months the secretary tired giving me some bs about me needing to come in to have my bp checked bc of birth control. After I informed her ive been on the same birth control for 6 years with no BP issues and I always get 12 months worth of birth control she told me that it was actually my insurance company that requested I come in for an appointment and blood work. Insurance companies do not make requests like that not to mention I had not been there in 6 months and it had been about 5 months since I switched insurance -which they do not have my new insurance information. I highly doubt an insurance company which I no longer am a subscriber to is requesting lab work to be done on me. read more

After my first appointment with Dr. Weiss I referred my mother-in-law, husband, and several friends. I regret doing this. They all came back to me complaining about how rude and unprofessional the receptionist is. I experienced this myself a few days ago. I called for a request, she promised she would follow up with me the same day. I called back at the end of the day since I never received a follow up and she didn't even know what I was talking about. I explained once again, and she kept ignoring me. I asked her if she could hear me, if it was a bad phone connection, and she rudely responded "relax"! I then asked her when she would follow up with me and she said she didn't know. She said it could be tomorrow, next week, or after that. Ridiculous since all I asked was for my prescription to be emailed to me. Unfortunately, because of receptionist Rochelle's unprofessionalism and rudeness, I will have to find a new doctor, as did everyone else I referred to Dr. Weiss. read more
