The services here can be lacking. It might also be the fact that I come around 7pm an hour before closing and the staff is already cleaning the grills and stations. I've only tried their fries and they have me addicted. Literally one of the best French fries. Their original , beer batter and sweet potato are all tasty but my go to is the beer battered fries. Would definitely recommend coming here for delicious food. The staff I've always encountered seem to be on the younger side and aren't as enthusiastic to see a customer. Stopped here on our way to the bay area as we did not want fast food and Deli Delicious hit the spot! It was exactly 30 minutes till they were closing and I kinda expected them to make me feel rushed but they did no such thing! They were out of the chicken which was a bummer but the sandwiches we did get were delicious! My husband ordered a hot ham, salami, avocado and provolone while I opted for the Turkey, bacon, avocado and provolone. They were both exactly what we wanted! I ordered online @ 1223 for a 115 pm pick uptime. I arrived @105 pm. I left @ 135! I'm not blaming the staff! They were very apologetic, short staffed and fairly new employees! They did their best to accommodate the customers! 5 for them! Note to the owner/management. Maybe you should have another staff on the weekends. Possibly a senior person. While I was waiting, a family walked in and they were told it'll be at least 30 min wait so they left. Also, a delivery person was waiting too but was told it'll be awhile for his schedule pick up time. To make it easier for them, I told them to cancel my order of sweet potato fries. I will change the rating once a sign is put on the door. Only one door to the entrance works. The other is extremely heavy. I've hurt my finger and broke a nail entering this establishment. The food is excellent!! I like their tuna sandwich here and their vegetarian sandwich on Dutch crunch or sourdough. I love adding roasted peppers to it too. Their beer-battered fries are also a must. We finally tried their spicy green beans. Great flavors and is not too spicy. Their pesto is my fave for dipping my fries in!! It's a must-try for sure. Excellent service every time. We were missing a simple ham and cheese sandwich, yet met with extreme resistance when we called back to tell them their mistake! Holy crap, it's $5, but also my daughter's dinner. No resolution came with the phone call, no refund and still no sandwich. The night supervisor wasn't trying to here any of it and wouldn't even own it. She needs to be retrained to give her name when asked too. This all could've been avoided by making it right. Bad customer service and experience. I just went into Deli Delicious in Lathrop on Harlan and ordered a half salad. This black guy who appeared to be getting trained took my order. I had 4 cents due to after I paid for my order. He was not going to give me back my change so I made a comment and he asked me "do you want me to give you back your change" I said thats ok then he said " I'll give the 3 cents back to you if you want it." I said well its due to me, so he gave me 3 cents when it should have been 4 cents. Then he went to make my salad and he only changed one of his gloves but he kept the other one on that he handled the cash register with. At first he was using the one hand with the clean glove but then I saw him use the dirty glove to grab something and put into my salad. His attitude was like he was tired and didn't want to be there. Wow, I can't believe how effortless they make it seem.. what I wouldn't give to have a place like this close to home. This place sets the gold standard for best chain sandwich shops! This was was so good I had to stop twice while traveling. The offer easy online ordering which worked great for us. They have a plethora of toppings and pre-made combinations to satisfy your sandwich cravings. I also love that they offer sprouts on their sandwiches, something that is getting harder to find. While I wish I would have had a chance to stop and eat, my Turkey/Avocado/Sprouts sandwich was amazing on the road! They offer various sizes for all types of appetites and they are very reasonably priced! I ordered the BBQ Tri Tip with Provolone on Dutch crunch..the bread seemed old not crunchy at all, the meat was more like roast beef slices vs. the Tri Tip thick slices I expected. The Roast beef with Avocado sandwich was missing the avocado and we didn't realize it until we got home...the sandwich had no taste. The service was slow but the folks working there were nice. Unfortunately this trip to Deli Delicious was not so delicious. I ordered online and had my sister in law pick up our food for us. Upon receiving our food my three large fries had almost nothing in every single bag. I've ordered regular and large fries from this location and know this is even less than the regular fry amount normally given.. and it's DEFINITELY not a large fry size. Our sandwiches were cold and we don't live far away from this location not to mention my sister in law was waiting for the food upon arrival to this location. I ordered a French dip and did not receive the au ju sauce. My husbands philly cheese steak had almost no meat on it. This was my first and probably only experience I will have at this establishment. First let's start with the greeting. I walk into the restaurant and say hello to the young lady at the counter. She looks up at me and says, "for here or to go?" I looked at her and repeated my friendly hello. Which is when she stopped and said hi back. I then ordered a #21, the turkey and avocado and asked for no sprouts. When I got home to eat there was sprouts on the sandwich. I then asked for their vegan sandwich options. She told me the #27 and a black bean sandwich. The #27 is not vegan since it has provolone and cream cheese. The black bean sandwich did not have a description up on the menu, I believe it may be a new item. So I asked what was on that sandwich. She explained it to me it was a black bean patty with cheese, lettuce, etc. I let her know it should not be classified as a vegan sandwich if there is cheese. So I ordered the black bean sandwich and asked to add avocado. Of course, when I got home, no avocado. Overall, the lack of customer service, poor attention to following easy orders, and the overall experience was not pleasurable. It was $18 for two sandwiches. I don't mind paying the price if the product and experience is pleasurable. I would much rather pay for a Togos sandwich that tastes better than that and is cheaper.
