Solid road food. It's convenient (in the middle of nowhere), hearty food. We did not eat any of the fried foods but the turkey sandwich we shared was piled high with Swiss cheese, turkey and all the fixins on soft bread. Workers were nice and polite. There is no inside access to the deli from the store, even though signage indicates otherwise. read more

Traveling through on SR225 and this was basically the only place to grab lunch in Owyhee before the long drive to Elko. It's was easy to find as it's clearly visible from the road and located between the hardware store and the local grocery store. Walking in I was kindly greeted by a nice lady behind the counter and she informed us of the menu on the wall, the hot case, and the cold case behind me. I decided on the double bacon cheese burger, a veggie salad and a small fountain drink coming to a respectable total of $11 (not bad at all). The veggie salad was fresh, with crisp lettuce and cherry tomatoes. The bacon cheese burger was the highlight. It featured two juicy patties protruding from the cover of the bun and accompanied with lettuce, tomato and onion. Just added a bit of yellow mustard and this hit the spot. I will definitely be seeing these ladies again the next time I happen to be traveling that far north. read more
