I found this perfect location which is hidden in a residential neighborhood. There is parking on site Inside the location there is a dressing room, with mirrors and clothing rack for your wardrobe. The owner is very professional and nice. He offered tea, coffee or water during your shoot. If you are inexperienced with taking photos, he is perfect. He is patient and will guide you through the entire process. I am happy to say he has competitive pricing but quality photos. I absolutely loved my pictures! Here is one of my favorites.

There's a lot about this business I really, really liked! First off, not having to go downtown is…read moresuch a great thing. To be clear, however, you're not going to get any natural light at all here like you do in the big, old building downtown with the huge banks of tremendous windows. If you want that kind of shoot, this isn't that. Also, I found the strobe units to be usable, but not fully professional. For instance, they didn't fire reliably all the time, and I think they are prone to overheating when used with a pro-model with whom a good photographer can get a frame every second to second and a half for twenty or thirty frames. That was annoying, and I lost about 25 frames or so out of about 700 to misfires. You also can't make any adjustments to settings remotely from the controller unit, which is pretty inconvenient when using a multi-light setup. That said, the place is clean, neat and well organized. The light stands and wide selections of excellent modifiers (including a really big one for a soft, flat lighting base), were appropriate to the space and in good repair. There's tons of colors of seamless options (though no cyc) and there were enough power cables and AC points to reach wherever I needed. There's a fan. There's a really great, big private dressing room, WiFi and the ability to connect and play your own music through a pretty nice system. They have a good selection of stools and full and half apple boxes. There's ample air conditioning (it was 100 degrees outside the day of my shoot) and we were comfortable in the studio - an absolute must to avoid sweaty models. Communication with the owner went well and the price is appropriate to the offering. All in all, this is the perfect place for the right type of job. There are times you need pro level strobes that recycle in milliseconds, but if you don't (family shoot, amateur models for engagements, business headshots), this place is a perfect ten.

The water was supposed to be warmed to around 89-90°F, but it was only in the 60s -- the model was very cold, and it definitely affected the photo shoot. I would recommend two days prior if you booked this studio to confirm that the water is actually being heated up because I would imagine it takes at least 24 hours. The staff has always been very nice, and helpful and I've have used different studios mostly without any issues. However, this was the first time there was no one on-site to assist or troubleshoot. During my scout visit the day before, I was told someone would be available, but unfortunately, there wasn't. We likely wouldn't have had enough time to heat the water even if we'd known how to operate the system ourselves.

They are easy to book with reschedule and always ( politely) answer my phone calls for help or clarification. I personally didn't rely on much of the equipment provided but, I did enjoy messing around with the on hand studio lighting. being able to mess around and work with much more expensive studio equipment than I own, is great. I love the natural lighting the building gets as well. On the down side : I do feel like some of the props and supplies are in desperate need to be updated or replaced. A couch we had in our studio requires a lot of post editing to not look like it was taken off the street with as much wear and tear as it has. Small price to pay that makes massive charges for models and photographers.

The studio has a buzzer to push for someone to unlock the door and let you in. Staff is friendly but they do have other responsibilities and are not always there to let you in right away. The staging area was incredibly hot and the air conditioning was not working and there is a flight of stairs to climb to get up the stages/rooms, and that is incredibly difficult then you have a ton of gear and that is why I gave it 4 stars. It's been a while but I still remember their name. Good experiences stick with you. I remember how easy it was dealing with them and how accommodating they were with the rental term, giving us a couple of extra days for the equipment. Attended an event here and feel in love with the lighting potentially, depths of space and layout of the entire top floor. There are stations for hair and makeup prep, comfortable chairs, seating and some lounge like furniture pieces for multipurpose or practical use. A small waiting area outside that connects to both the studio and it's loft space (where down the hall from you'll find access to the bathrooms as well). Parking is to the side of the building and shared with Starbucks or street parking are both usually availble. While the physical address is off Beverly... the entrance sits off Detroit Street. Take the elevator or the staircase up to this wonderful space and have a shutter filled frenzy.

Now to the bad - I get it for cheap rates you get what you pay for, but there is no excuse for false advertising, space looks nothing like on pictures - way way smaller and filthy in real life. TO get to the studio you have to go through some nasty loading area which is honestly quite scary. The studio is located on top of a STRIP CLUB - you can only imagine what kind of people there. The first time my model touched the floor and her dress was ruined, black marks EVERYWHERE! The beautiful sets you see on photos are all damaged or just poorly made - I had to spend HOURS in photoshop fixing and "cleaning" background sets on my pictures. The cycwall is poorly made and unusable, it's too small and radius is not correct at all - again, even more hours spent in photoshop to correct it. On top of all of it they are simply rude we were on time and they were RUSHING us out of the studio. No wonder this place only has a couple of reviews and all of them seem very fake. I'm never coming back EVER and wouldn't recommend anybody.

She was always available when I had a question and was only a moment's call away! It is clean, with a green room for actors that have ROKU, coffee and waters.
