There has been a need for a radio station to serve the interests and needs of the conservative…read morecommunity in the Philadelphia metropolitan area. WFYL 1180AM has filled that need. Over the airwaves, it is a "daytimer" station where you can receive the signal clearly from your car radio or home. When I'm home, I just stream it live through my PC which is perfect. They do program through live streaming, but the radio airwave signal is daytime only. I can also get them on my smartphone. They even have an app for convenieince. In the mornings it is live and local then the day line-up is Laura Ingraham, the king of talk radio in my humble opinion, Dennis Miller, Phil Valentine, Rodger Hedgecock, in that order. I like the classic Philadelphia call letters of WFYL, which they have called "Working For Your Liberty". This station is the true positive talk radio with a nice Judeo Christian edge. I would like more people to know about them. Intelligent radio, period.

They provide and share current news commentary on Twitter and other social media sites keeping us connected with what's happening right now. If you are a business trying to connect with the Latino community this is the paper you want to use. They have the perfect distribution practically on every corner in the Latino community. You will even find the paper in mostly all the Latino restaurants so it's pretty much everywhere. I'm really interested and supportive of the community work the Al Dia News Media has and I recommend everyone support them. :)

The paper is the leading Spanish language news source Spanish in Philadelphia. Unfortunately, the quality of the writing isn't stellar---it's essentially what you'd expect from a local English paper in San Jose, Costa Rica. And the pieces aren't exactly the most timely, ether. The other day I looked at a piece about how American presidents of the past have dealt with immigration: interesting, on a certain level, but not exactly something you'd read in the New York Times (or a leading Latin American newspaper, like Reforma in Mexico City.) But, honestly, I guess I'm also a little uncomfortable with "newspapers" that represent very specific groups: political, ethnic, whatever. My parents used to get the Jewish Exponent delivered to the house, and even as a kid I used to think: THIS is supposed to be journalism?

Daydreamer is not a broadsheet with ironic, old fashioned graphics, but it is a voice for the alternative art scene. With feature articles and interviews with artists, bands and restauranteurs, Daydreamer is not just a vehicle for advertising. In fact, theres none to be found. It seems to be funded by the generosity of donors. What I really appreciate about the mag is that they understand the importance of layout to a magazine. A lot of alternative art publications that are underfunded and ideal-driven tend to think just anything goes. This magazine is fresh, visually engaging and filled with good stuff.
