I need to be middle-of-the-road for the stars as Conner and Becky, two of the techs I am familiar with, are commendable in their duties. Dr. Kaser, however, will only do exactly what he wants, and he let it be known that he "does not want to be a third wheel in the care of Harry", my 13 yo Pomeranian. I chose this practice blindly since I was moving almost next door to them, up from Worthington OH to Delaware OH. One of my first questions to him was to ascertain if he was willing to be our primary vet when Harry's care came under a cardiologist at OSU. All cardiologists will diagnose and determine the medicines necessary, blood tests, etc. that are to be turned over to the primary vet for carrying out the orders from the cardiologist. This is common practice. Dr. Kaser is not interested in being a part of a team effort to keep my dog alive and has said he does not want to be a part of anything to harm my dog. Well, withholding critical tests and refusing to prescribe per the cardiologists requests, in my opinion, is harming my dog as long as I choose to stay, which I will no longer darken his door. Harry, a 13 yo Pomeranian, has been to OSU Cardiology/ER twice since July and COVE ER 5 times and each time came back with progressive heart issues that require targeted medication and blood work. Now I am stuck here in mid winter with no place to go since the places I've called are not taking new patients right now. So COVE generously will take Harry in for his required blood work to determine if he is taking the medicine at a safe level, and when weather breaks I will have to drive almost 20 miles to his old vet in Worthington - The Vet Clinic - who have stepped up for Harry's care on numerous occasions when Dr. Taser would not intervene on Harry's behalf. If you do not ever think you will require a specialist for your beloved pet, then this would be the place to go - as I said, Conner and Becky are superb techs and Harry loves them. But if you someday think you will require a Team, go elsewhere, as there is no "I" in TEAM. read more

Family member took their dog here. This place is amazing!!!!! My family member called over 6 places and they would not squeeze their sick dog in. Even the vet they usually go to denied them! but they finally saw this place recommended In a Facebook group and this place said yess! They made time to squeeze their dog in. They saved her life I would say!!!! They explained the conditions very throughly and answered all questions. They did a great job of care and they didn't give up when a test came back negative and dug for answers which is amazing!!!!They are the best and I recommend them to anyone and now they will continue to see this vet! Dr. Kaser and his team at the Delaware Animal Clinic are the best in town. I first went to them for my mini-lop rabbit, Leopold. Many vets do not take rabbits because they are outside the realm of 'normal' animals and considered 'exotic.' The team saw Leopold regularly for check-ups, nail clippings (it's tough to clip a bunny's nails--I don't recommend trying it on your own unless you want battle wounds your first go at it!), and they performed the surgery to neuter him. They were professional every step of the way. Further into Leopold's life he developed a common disease in rabbits called Osteomyelitis. It's basically a bone-eating bacteria that then causes calcification and much pain for bunny. When I first noticed that Leopold wasn't using one paw and it was swollen Dr. Kaser told me that it could simply be an infection or it could be Osteomyelitis, kind of a best-case v. worst-case scenario. I was given the choice of course of treatment, so feeling optimistic I went with best-case scenario and we gave Leopold some antibiotics to see if any change would be made in the size of the swollen area. Weeks later the swelling was still there and bunny was wincing in pain (this is rare in rabbits since they are prey animals and rarely show fear or pain). Dr. Kaser gave more options and I chose to have Leopold x-rayed to see what the swelling was. It showed as a thick mass on the x-ray, so my fear was confirmed that it was the disease and it was much worse than Dr. Kaser and I both had hoped. We discussed further options, he let me have whatever time I needed, and I came to the decision that it was best for Leopold to be put down. The staff were respectful (even though I was a complete mess... I'm talking sobbing in the waiting room mess) and Leopold left this world with dignity and free from pain. I share all this because it truly was a horribly emotional situation, but all along the way I was educated to my options and I was the one making the decisions. If I wanted to try and treat Leopold's symptoms until his body naturally gave out, I could have. I adopted a kitty shortly after Leopold left us and Dr. Kaser now sees her. We go back and visit under much happier circumstances and I have faith she will stay a healthy kitty under Dr. Kaser's care. read more

I brought my cat in a couple of years ago to perform a routine teeth cleaning. We had a traveling vet. that we had been with for years and wanted to find a local replacement knowing she would be retiring soon. I was told that before the cleaning could be performed a number of tests would have to be performed. One test was for feline leukemia which had already been discounted when the cat was at the animal shelter. I feel like I was being coerced when it was implied I would agree to these tests if I truly cared about my pet. read more

Dr. Steven Kaser is a top notch vet! He has helped both of my Aussie Dogs for years. They feel comfortable with Dr. Kaser and know that he is going to take good care of them! I had to take my cat to see a vet today because he had been sick all weekend. Generally speaking I do not like veterinarians because they try to up-sell products and guilt you into things that you do not need to either purchase or perform. But Dr. Kaser was different. After the initial examination Dr. Kaser determined that my cat was very, very sick. He came up with a diagnosis quote that was much more than I could afford, and was honest that the treatment beyond would cost the same amount or possibly more. I knew that I could not get the money together in time to save the cat's life, so I made the choice to put the cat to sleep. It was a pretty emotional decision, as it would be for anyone who had to make it. Dr. Kaser appeared to be just as upset about the decision as I was, but understood that there was no alternative. We talked for awhile, and he was compassionate, as was his receptionist. If this is how these people shine in very dark and emotional times, than I think when the situation is not so bad this office's customer service has to be just outstanding. If, or most likely when, I get another pet Dr. Kaser will be the only choice for a vet. I cannot recommend or praise my experience enough with this office. read more
