I went for the first time with my Kiddos and they had a great time, can't wait to go again.

One of the best parks I've ever been to. Great playground, rose garden, walking track, picnic area, and parking.

This is a cute little park in Decatur. A nice place to eat lunch. There's a splash pad in the summer for the kids to play in. The landscaping is beautiful. The sidewalks make it easy to access. My aunt and I got soaked just walking through the park though since the sprinklers were on. :-| Oh well just went back to work with a wet behiney. There are lots of neat art work pieces throughout. We ate at the picnic tables near the tennis courts which were clean and nicely shielded from the sun. read more

This is a really nice park here in Decatur. They have recently added a Splash Pad that is open seasonally. The kids can play in the water feature. It's a lot of fun and it's flooring is kind to falls. The new playground for younger children is handicapped accessible and is open year round starting at 10am until 7pm, I believe. It has the recycled tire floor that is cushy and keeps kids from getting hurt too badly. They have new bathrooms on the back of the Splash Pad and a set near the tennis courts. There are 4 lighted tennis courts that are open at night as well. They are in excellent shape and have a nice high fence around them. There is a one mile walking trail that is partially shaded. There are softball fields and basketball courts as well. There is also a large open field where you can picnic, fly kites, run, etc. There are a couple of picnic pavilions that you can reserve for free. Both are covered and allow grilling. They are usually very clean! There is also a section of the park across the street that has a gorgeous rose garden every year. It has decorative seating and is peaceful for walking and strolling through. The walkers and runners at the park are really friendly. You can even bike or walk your dogs as long as they are on their leashes. The parking is spread out and is free. It is close to Decatur High, 6th Ave, and Decatur General. read more
