There were also two incidences in court where I felt embarrassed, not for me but for her because she was obviously not prepared. Didn't really understand why. I would personally advise against using Natalie or her firm. I for sure felt out of the loop in regards to communication and wouldn't recommend her. Again my opinion.

Save your money and go with a firm that is capable and professional. I just found out this morning that my lawyer was disbarred 45 days after unanswered emails and texts. DO NOT GO WITH THIS FIRM FOR ANYTHING. Here' is my final email to them detailing my experience followed by a link to the incident: Wilson Reives & Doran 1502 Woodland Avenue Sanford, NC 27330 To Whom It May Concern, I am writing to express my profound dissatisfaction with the legal representation I received from your firm, specifically from Jon Silverman, in relation to my case which culminated in a court hearing on July 25, 2024. It has come to my attention that there were significant misrepresentations and omissions regarding my advocacy during this critical time. First and foremost, Jon Silverman failed to appear at my hearing, leaving me with Mrs. Doran, who, while undoubtedly competent, was unfortunately not adequately familiar with the particulars of my case. As a direct consequence, I was compelled to concede on disputes that I firmly believe I had strong grounds to contest. The implications of this lack of representation have been detrimental, particularly to my daughter, who is bearing the consequences of these proceedings. Despite providing Jon with substantial evidence and documentation over several months leading up to the case, I found that critical information was not communicated to Mrs. Doran until the night before the court date. Furthermore, I was completely unaware of Jon's surrender of his law license in June 2024. As a client, I believe it is essential that I am informed of any circumstances that could impact my representation, particularly matters that occurred mere weeks before my court date. After the hearing, Mrs. Doran assured me that she would follow up regarding necessary actions, such as the Child Support payment I am obligated to make. However, I have not received any further communication or updates on this matter. Since the court date, I have made numerous attempts to contact Jon via email and phone, all without any response. I was also never notified by your firm that Jon was no longer representing me, which is both unacceptable and unprofessional. To compound the issue, I was informed by Mrs. Rincon just this morning that Jon has been unable to practice law since my hearing date. This revelation is alarming and underscores a fundamental breakdown in the duty of your firm to keep clients informed about their legal representation. Additionally, I find it troubling that Mrs. Doran informed me on the day of the hearing that "Jon is in another case today and unable to make it." Such a statement has left me feeling misled, particularly when considering the underlying reasons for Jon's absence. In light of these circumstances, I am requesting an immediate refund of my retainer in full. The level of service I received does not meet the standards promised by your firm and has been, frankly, outrageous. I look forward to your prompt attention to this matter. Sincerely, https://www.yourdailyjournal.com/news/20641/lawyer-surrenders-license-after-sex-with-firms-client

After receiving several letters from lawyers, I decided to call a few and see what my options were and which prices were the best. Of the maybe 4-5 places I called, this firm was the most friendly and personable. Definitely plus that they also had the cheapest price. A couple days after gathering quotes I decided that I would go with Cotten Law Firm. I was able to go online and look up my case number and pay my fees all at once. Once I paid and electronically signed to allow Mr. Cotten to represent me, I was e-mailed a case number for the firm and a receipt. The day before my court date I received an e-mail and phone call from the firm to get more of my personal information to pull my driving record. That was also a pleasant and friendly interaction as well. I was told that Mr. Cotten would e-mail me the results the next day after going to court on my behalf. Around 1:30 on the day of my court date I received an e-mail from Mr. Cotten himself with the results. My ticket was reduced to an "Improper Equipment" charge! My insurance won't be affected and neither will my driving record. Such a relief! Since I paid upfront he also handled the court costs and fines as well. I didn't have to go to court or even to the office at all. There's also an option to pay for his services upfront and then you can handle your court costs within 30 or so days of your court date if you can't afford it all at once, which is great. I would highly recommend this firm and will keep the information in case I need their services in the future. Although I hope I never will again...

As a result...I got nothing- no child support, alimony OR retirement. She has the least amt of liability insurance an attorney can get (100k) and NOTHING is in her name. I paid her over 50K- she had to do an appeal and rule of 60 for free. She now has several attorneys representing her, and their attorney fees are paid by liability insurance. She refused to settle or discuss a settlement. I never felt she had my back, intentionally put things off, and was a terrible advisor. We never had a meeting before mediation, she was never prepared, and always seemed lost when appearing in court, and was dominated by the opposing attorney. I do not recommend using her !
