From our first few email exchanges, it was clear Monette deeply cared about making the experience enjoyable and comfortable for us. She helped us decide on timing, wardrobe, and location. She let us send images for inspiration and walked us through what to expect and how to prep for the session. During the session, she made us feel so calm and was a true baby whisperer!!! She also is dog friendly which is a huge plus! She has great direction and made sure to capture the shots we wanted and had spoken about. Then, we received the photos... and I am honest when I say I cried because they are truly beautiful! Monette was able to freeze time and capture our newborn when he was just days old. Mariemil suggested we use the Cal State Long Beach Japanese Gardens as the backdrop for our family. Very nice. The location was free from crowds and had a number of beautiful settings including koi ponds, wooden bridges, walkways, foliage, etc. She suggested a number of different set-ups throughout the one hour sitting and we ended up with about 100 different photos. WAY more than we had expected. I absolutely LOVE what Mariemil and Paolo are doing. They are creating ART!! Highly recommend.

We couldn't be more thrilled with how easy the process was and how beautiful her photos turned out. She was so careful with our new baby (first) and we felt beyond comfortable with her working with him in her studio. We came back again for a mini-session for Mother's Day which was so special and a priceless chance to catch those photos you want, but never seem to be able to get yourself. As a Mom, I find I have tons of snaps of my son with everyone else, but none of just the two of us. It was great to have that chance to get those action snapshots and we look forward to doing more mini-sessions with Heather over the years. We recently also did my son's One Year pictures and Cake Smash. She provided great information ahead of time so we knew exactly how to prepare before the shoot and what to expect.
