Imagine that you are a real estate broker and your father passes away. You are working through several probate tasks, trying to deal with grief and you own your own business. Your father gifts you his house as your inheritance. Your brother has come out to do many tasks and decides to come for the final task to decide what you keep as family heirlooms, pictures, etc. Before you are able to go through the house, two criminals pose as your father, send an email to Zillow and a few realtors from My Home Group and contractors work with the two criminals to sell his house to Zillow, clean out the house (find one of Zillow's contractors called K10 selling his personal things online). Fidelity National Title is the title company. There is a police report and you feel it is a no-brainer -- you will get the house back. WRONG! My little family is up against three very large companies (Fidelity is one of the top three title companies in the United States). You run to an attorney and the attorney puts a lis pendens on the house, but then tells you he is not sure he can get the house back. REALLY? So, you start searching for another attorney and call one of the best attorneys in town (who doesn't specialize in this type of a case) to ask him who he would use. He replies "Dave Degnan". You walk in to meet Dave Degnan and he explains your case on a white board with all the documentation spread out in front of us. He rattled off laws by number and knew statutes forward and back. Then says . . . I will get your house back. As a broker with a strong relationship with First American Title (also one of the top three title companies in the U.S.), I was getting some great advice, tell the person what my new attorney is planning and the guy says "That is brilliant". As Zillow and Fidelity are calling our probate attorney trying desperately to get me to sell them the house, Dave puts his plan into action and the estate had the house back 18 days later. Dave Degnan is a fierce negotiator. I promise you there is no one better. I hope to never need an attorney again. But, if I do, Dave will be the call I make. I wish I could give him 10 stars. THE WORST!!!! These individuals are kid through Legal shield and trust me when I tell you they act like it. You call and the receptionist finds out you are a legal shield member you are now treated like you're begging at the welfare office. The alleged attorney wasn't prepared for the meeting AT ALL! Literally hadn't reviewed anything I sent and got in the call and asked me where are we with all this? Huh? Dude you're the attorney what are you talking about. the attitude to me was that they are doing you a favor by even speaking to you. The attorneys only focus was sending the standard letter you get through legal shield no matter what the heck your situation is. The attorney did not listen and was so rude and disrespectful I wouldn't use this law firm if it gave free legal protection for ten years straight. Absolutely ignorant and sad!! If someone is calling for help how dare you get on a high horse when you need my money? The consult is normally 45 minutes at least he didn't want to be in the phone longer then 5 minutes cutting us off, being rude and short as if we were bothering his schedule. I didn't call legal aid I called a law firm that I thought was respected instead they have a bunch of customer service and great attitudes and service awards mumbo jumbo all Over their site but that isn't applied in real life.
