The calamari was under cooked, chicken was dry (it seemed like it had been frozen) the eggplant was way over salted and those were the good dishes. There is better food to be had elsewhere. We wanted to like 3 Mohren, we even tried it 3 times, once for each Mohr, but 3 strikes and your out. Blah.

When the Yilmaz brothers opened this shop on Buchstraße, it was the closest place to campus and became a fast favorite for many students. My roommate and I used to order the börek pizza with Spinat, Knoblauch und Zwiebeln and it was to die for. It was also affordable for a college student, and always arrived fresh and hot (and fast since it was close by). The brothers' greetings over the intercom at the dorms were always so cheerful and I loved walking to the Imbiss to pick up an order from them for the same reason. There was always an enthusiastic welcome and a lot of laughs to be had. It's more than 20 years since I've eaten there and I'm sure things have changed but I haven't been able to find anything even close to those magical börek creations. I miss this spot so much. Glad to see it's still open.
