Greatest custody, divorce, and family attorney in Houston. If you need a family lawyer, David is…read morethe best. He is a little rough around the edges but truly cares for you and your children. Also, if you (his client) ventures of the reservation or is not being totally fair or wanting anything that is not in the children's best interest; David will pull no punches in re-focusing you back to what matters, what is fair, and what is in the child's best interest, period. A little hard to swallow sometimes, but very necessary for the kiddos sake. He doesn't put up with the getting even or vengeance nonsense. I loved that. My story summary: Our sons wanted to live with Dad (me) and their Mom fought it tooth and nail for no "good" reason. Yes its hard and it hurts that's very understandable; But it doesn't give Mom the right to attack and lie about Dad to stop it. So our sons asked Dad to file suit which he did. Dad filed nothing more than the boys wanted to live with him and saying nothing negative about their mother in the suit. Mom came back accusing Dad of being every rotten low down dirty thing she could. For example, Dad was a drug user all of a sudden (untrue), then an alcoholic (which is funny because he doesn't drink at all), then a fraud (again untrue), and when those didn't work, Mom accused Dad of being investigated twice by CPS. But Mom conveniently left out that it was her who falsely accused Dad twice (once during the divorce and again when she saw bruises from when he fell down). CPS later terminated the investigations finding no issues and also warned Mom, in the letter, that falsely accusing another of child abuse is in itself a form of child abuse. The false accuser becomes the abuser in the eyes of Texas law. David was outstanding and relentless in seeking the truth. David methodically deposed Mom and under pressure from David, armed with the facts, she admitted to falsely accusing Dad twice to CPS. David gave us our lives back and I will never truly be able to repay him.

I found David to be difficult to deal with. He refused to provide time records for work he claimed…read moreto have done. I filed a well documented complaint with the Bar against him. The Bar said it was a billing grievance. He is someone I would recommend not using. Jim Baker
