My son lost control of his car, went off the highway and took out a guard rail. Walked away without a scratch. Car looked destroyed to me. It's an old (2005) Mercury Grand Marquis. We didn't have collision because of the car's age, and didn't think the repairs were affordable. We had it towed to Dee's because previous owner (family member) had this same car repaired there once before. Dee told us the car needed extensive work but would see what he could do. Gave us a quote, which we thought was fair & worth the repair, since the car has low mileage & is virtually a tank as far as safety goes. Had my car rear ended and had to tow the car to Dee's AutoBody. Dee, the owner personally spoke with me and addressed my needs. He was very transparent about the damage, explaining every single possibility, replacement parts and repair work he needed to do. He worked with my insurance carrier seamlessly without any work from me. The shop has a high tech air-sealed paintbooth and I stopped by when the car was in the booth to be painted. And it came out perfect! He removed all the trimmings and painted perfectly. I know cheaper places use masking tape to save time, but Dee's job was so professional, the paint job look like a brand new factory painted car. There was no orange peel and it was glossier than the other parts that didnt need to be painted! I would highly recommend Dee's auto body. He did a good repair after a hit-&-run that happened to me Nov. 2016, but it took him almost 4 weeks (he was bilking GEICO Insurance), & my Honda Fit was still missing the tint I had on a small front window. Dee referred me to a "buddy" at Island Sounds who Dee said would charge me $15 for the window. Tint--guy instead charged $35 & Dee begrudgingly gave me 20 back. Then, today I stopped in to have front bumper on my Honda Fit reset back in place after a bump during parking. He asked if insurance was paying then told me he would need 2 days to do the work & $375 for it. What a God Send!! I have spent thousands of dollars on repairs at my insurance repair shop on new cars, just for paint. I had to return a lease that had a dent in the front. Other insurance wanted 1200. Bucks. I was told to go to the other side of the Island to Dees and wasnt happy to habe to travel etc. I met the owner, a genuine businessman and food person. We shared conversation about body shops and i learned a lot and it cost me LESS than half of what my neigh orhood shop wanted in less time. I would highly recommend Dees for any body work. He knows cars and explained to me why my tire on one side was threadless. The underside of my car had been repaired by the other shop without an alignment and all of the prssure on one side of the car destroyed the tire.
