This place is not a good environment for anyone who wants to be unique or strive towards goals that would help the community. Most of the school's majority white population comes from wealthy or influential families, and some of them are the worse people you could come across.
A good deal of them are rather obnoxious or ignorant, and with a majority of the school body ( the ones not a part of the specialty center or minorities like it's Asian-Indian population and LGBTQ population, who are pretty good people) heavily supporting Donald Trump in the past election. Some of the guys and girls openly display Trump memorabilia at sporting events to purposely offend people, and some can even be incredibly racist. Some of the girls are really bratty and will often talk about even some of their own friends behind their backs, and some of the guys act like frat bros and disrupt classes and some events a lot, with a few being perverts. This school is known for being a "party school" where a good amount of the students host and go to parties and some do partake in drinking or hard drugs. The faculty is not much better either, with many of the teachers mostly not caring about the student's education anymore, and they either just give students busywork or just let the students go ahead with their own business. The food served in the cafeteria is limited in options, and rather disgusting or overly greasy and not very healthy at all, leading to students and faculty often bringing lunch from home. Bullying is quite prevalent here, with administrators often turning a blind eye either because of family ties or fear of being persecuted. Counselors are not good at their jobs, and college counseling is not the best, with most students getting into colleges for sports and the like. The saddest thing is that because they have lots of money or power in the community, the students think that they're all that or that their the greatest, even though they're not. Parents, if you actually want a good education for your child in the modern-style of Deep Run, then you should go for Glen Allen instead. Avoid spending your high school years here. read more
