What makes her stand out is how her treatments have an immediate relief! I have seen many acupuncturists for more than 30 yeas and none have her skills, expertise and kindness. Her bedside manner is unmatched. She is gentle, caring and compassionate and very knowledgeable. Never pushes you in receiving any treatments you don't want. She also pairs acupuncture with Infra Red Therapy and a trans-cutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS) unit by delivering small electrical impulses through the needles; then employs cupping, a most relaxing and healing modality tat stimulates oxygenation and blood circulation. It never fails to take away any pain and inflammation. Additionally, she teaches Tai-Chi and QiGong free every Saturday at the Massey park by the tennis courts on NW 34th street. She takes insurance as well. She is truly a gem!

Having tried acupuncture before and failing to see its worth, when I first started seeing Min I was skeptical. After my first treatment I still wasn't sure acupuncture did anything, but I enjoyed the time I spent with Min - she was loving in a way most doctors aren't (or at least most doctors don't openly show care and concern on a first visit). She listened without judgement and never pushed a specific treatment but gave recommendations and discussed options that fit my lifestyle. After a few visits I started seeing real changes in my health and I've been seeing her ever since. I live two hours away from her office now, but I make the trip a few times a year or whenever I feel I need a treatment (or when I just miss her; she's become that close to me). Whether you've been getting acupuncture treatments for years or you are looking to try it for the first time, I highly recommend Min Li.

With just 5 treatments with Lori Pallais, my acupuncturist, I must say I am now a believer in eastern medicine and acupuncture etc. Lori Pallais is great. She is great with communicating, and just after the first 3 treatments, my vertigo is completely healed, I fall asleep faster, and wake up way less than I used to. I used to wake up 4-5 times throughout the night every night for several years, I now wake up once a night or sometimes I sleep completely through the night. I used to have a bowel movement once per week, but only after taking a laxative. Now I have a bowel movement at least 5 days a week. I had also suffered with shoulder pain for the last 15 years due to a motorcycle accident. After just 5 treatments, my shoulder pain is gone. I can't express enough how thankful I am for Lori Pallais and Dragon Rises for taking the time to work on all of my physical issues that were majorly affecting my sleep and everyday life. Thank you Lori for helping to restore my health and for helping me get better nights sleep. You were able to fix in just 5 treatments what western medicine doctors have not been able to do in 10 years. All of the doctors I have went to, have just given me prescriptions which never really helped and at best just put a bandaid on the real issues, but you were able to get to root cause and heal the areas of the body that needed healed to give me back my life and mobility. Thanks again Lori Pallais.

I can not say enough good things about my experience with Dr Xiaolin Deng! I am a veterinarian and…read morecurrently undergoing training to do acupuncture on animals at the Chi Institute of Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine. Dr Deng is highly respected in human acupuncture and came to teach a 2 hour lecture at the school to explain some of the philosophy and fundamentals of chinese medicine (which is the same in vet Med and human Med). She then ended the lecture by doing a treatment on a student volunteer. I was too chicken to volunteer that day, mostly because I have a bit of a needle phobia and can sometimes faint. So I didn't feel like passing out in front of 200 people. Flash forward 2 months, and I was having a TON of health issues. Cough, shortness of breath, dizziness, fatigue, anxiety, mental fog, irritability,a bit of depression, GI upset....the list goes on an on. I knew it was all rooting back to extreme fatigue from traveling and working the last 3 weeks and running on 2-3 hours of sleep on average plus a bit of a respiratory tract infection. My poor body was running on fumes after burning the candle at both ends and all my conventional remedies were not working. I felt like I was gradually getting worse not better even in spite of every western medicine, lots of rest, vitamins ect. So I decided to try acupuncture. Heck, If I am going to offer it to my patients, then I should take a taste of my own medicine right!? I called Dr Deng Friday morning, hoping to get an appointment but knew the chances were slim. She said she would stay late for me after class finished at 6 pm. Because of game day traffic, GPS told me I would not arrive until 6:40. I called her because I assumed it would be too late. She assured me she didn't mind waiting. I arrived and her office is simple, tidy, and welcoming. She made me feel at ease right away and took a thorough history and did a good physical examination (I can say this with authority, I'm a doctor too haha). She took into account my medical history and customized a treatment using the tiniest of baby needles that I barely even felt when she put in. Then she left me with electro Accupuncture on for 30 mins (electro sounds scary but SO much more benefit...think a TENS unit that causes your muscles to twitch but even deeper massage and relaxation of muscles). I was relaxed and almost instantaneously felt some of my pain in my body go away. Over the 30 minutes my mind was already calming down. She was beyond sweet to me and made me feel at ease about it all. She sent me home with some herbs to take daily and a sense of hope that I would soon feel better. I was 15-20% better right away By the next morning, I felt 30-35% better. By 24 hours out, I now feel about 50-60% better and improving more by every hour. I bet by tomorrow I am back to my usual self. Dr Deng is a TRUE HEALER. You can tell she is a doctor because she genuinely cares about people and wants to help them feel better. She spent nearly 2 hours with me. And she didn't try to send me home with a bunch of expensive products. She made suggestions and there was no pressure. I can assure you the affordable price tag at check out did not reflect the excellent service/care I received. What a value! She is HIGHLY respected by other legendary acupuncturists. She was trained in Classical Chinese medicine in China and has been practicing since 1982. To say she is an expert is probably an understatement. If you are having any health issue, from pain, anxiety, illness, injury, weakness, fatigue, female issue...the list goes on....try acupuncture with Dr Deng!!! You won't be disappointed!!
