You *must* stay here if you are backpacking in southern Turkey. My wife and I have stayed here twice and each time we were really impressed with the quality of accommodations and food. Sure, they're "just" bungalows with a campground feel and the open-air facilities are incredibly hot if you go in July, but that can be said for all of Olympos. These bungalows, and Olympos in general, are particularly popular with a rather small segment of Istanbul's population that actually appreciates nature and isn't obsessed with luxury and "ozel servis" - think of the Gezi protester crowd - but foreigners are warmly welcomed and probably make up about half of the clientele in the off-season. What really made this a five star establishment for us is the very friendly and genuinely helpful service from the staff and especially the owner, who actually found us on the side of the road and drove us to one of his competitors before we decided to give Deep Green a try!
I'd also note that this is one of the only places in Turkey outside of central Istanbul where a solo backpacker would feel at home. And the setting, in the woods nestled between two small mountains yet easily accessible via public transportation from Antalya, is truly unique and unlike anywhere else in Turkey. Olympos has its pros and cons as far as destinations go, but Deep Green is truly amazing! read more
