I can't say enough good things about Heather and her practice. While vacationing in Duck last week,…read moreI was plagued with a debilitating stiff/sore neck. It hit me immediately as I was getting out of bed on Sunday, the first full day of our vacation. Not being able to move about and enjoy the week wasn't an option so I immediately started to explore options. After finding Balance acupuncture and massage and reading Heathers impressive bio online, I knew I'd be in good hands. It was a shot in the dark but at 730am on a Sunday, I sent her a desperate text message (apologizing profusely for the early message on a Sunday!). Less than 2 hours later she replied offering me the option the see her in her office at noon that day or offered to come to the house we were renting in Duck later that evening. I wasn't sure how I'd be able to handle to car so I took the house call. Heather arrived with all her own equipment. She took the time to talk to me about my ailment and what may have caused it. She was extremely knowledgeable about the body and its response to certain environmental factors (i.e. the low pressure and the wind that week). Heather was professional but warm, knowledgeable and informative and most of all helped to bring me the relief and relaxation I was in desperate search of. Any one whose had acupuncture/massage knows it's not an immediate fix but I can honestly say the next morning I woke up about 50% better and then I was almost fully back to my normal mobility by day 3. Heather applied multiple different methods including acupuncture, massage, cupping/scraping. I've never ever felt so relaxed during my treatment!! If you're in dire need or just want to relax and do something nice for yourself, I highly recommend contacting Heather for an appointment!

There is seamless coordination across the staff, depending on your needs: you may work with a PT tech for previously prescribed care, see a newer PT for standard protocols or be examined and treated by the senior PT to develop an advanced and personalized protocol. Regardless, care is individualized and crafted to improve your situation as quickly and appropriately as possible. Their behind the scenes communication makes it seem as if they just intuit your needs and make them happen. While you're there, you will feel as if your treatment is the most important to them - even though they are often juggling as many as 5 or 6 patients at one time.
