Continuously huffed and puffed while doing my hair as it was too much of a challenge for her. What she wasn't aware of is that I am Hispanic and understood everything that she was saying. Even if I didn't understand doesn't make it right to speak on your clients right in front of them. I was completely taken aback by the lack of professionalism. Thankfully the lady that blew my hair out and trimmed my hair saved the day! She was extremely kind, caring and gentle and really turned the experience around for me. I unfortunately will no longer be supporting this business and it's such a shame because they really do have some talented hair stylists.

I've gone to Denise a couple times now and she is just the absolute best. Honestly, I need to get my hair cut more than I do, and even though it had been forever since the last time I went in, she still remembered me immediately. She's also so good about confirming how much hair you want cut. I feel like a lot of places you'll say how much you want trimmed or cut and then end up with much shorter hair than you wanted. But Denise is very careful to double check how much you want off and make sure it's what you want after she works on it, and continually ask. During Christmas season she'll even hand out cute little gifts. It's a whole experience going here and I love it! They also are pretty reasonably priced especially because some salons can be so spendy. Definitely recommend!

After arriving early for my appointment, I was made to wait for over an hour. The staff behind the desk, even other stylists walked by as we sat waiting, unconcerned. I was then informed it would be another 45 minutes before I could be seen, 30 minutes after my appointment time. Unfortunately, I had to leave without any services being provided and a 10% discount for a future visit, which was incredibly heartbreaking. This experience not only left me to tears, it ruined my plans for the event but also showed a complete lack of consideration for my time. I expected better from a salon when it comes to scheduling and customer care. I cannot recommend Esquire Salon & Spa and especially Giselle Oliveras based on my experience.

About 45 minutes before the appointment I received a phone call from the stylist's BOYFRIEND! He explained the stylist wouldn't be doing my hair because attending her son's soccer game was more important and that she'd do my hair on another day that week. I said, "that's not going to work for me. I'll call the salon right now to see what can be done." The stylist suddenly came on the line, begging me not to call the salon. Then she explains to me that there is no way she can get to the salon by our appointed time. I ask when she could be there and she begins conferring with her boyfriend. Turns out she couldn't do the cut and color because she wanted to stay in bed with her boyfriend. This after I gave her a 40% tip the only other time I had seen her. The owner told me the stylist was a single mom having a tough time, so I was extra generous for a job well-done. So much for tipping well to ensure good future service. I called the salon. No one answered. I left a message asking how they wanted to move forward and I never received a return call.
