My girlfriend and I went here after hoping to go to La Bambula a couple bars down, but discovering…read morethey had yet to put their outdoor seating outside yet. We sat down here at a table near the front and were promptly served. We managed to catch the happy-hour, so I ordered a whiskey and coke, and she ordered a Piña Colada. The Piña Colada was fine, but the whiskey was watered down with ice by the time it was served to me, which was disappointed.
We had also ordered an item off the tapas menu but were never served it, so another disappointment there. We sat there for almost an hour, and were never checked on again, so we left what we calculated was the right amount for our drinks and left to find somewhere else to eat.
On the one hand, you don't mind that type of service in that type of place sometimes, but there are so many bars along the Arenal that give better service, I couldn't let it go.
4 stars (standard) - 2 (watered down whiskey, never brought the tapas we ordered) + 0 (nothing excellent) = 2 stars.
