Professor Jason has been coaching my kids since they were little, he has coached at tournaments for them! He's so patient and kind. He's great with all ages! 4yrs to 100yrs! Go try Dedicated Jiu Jitsu out!

We brought our nephew to Dedicated Jiu Jitsu in the beginning of June. He has never attended any type of Jiu Jitsu classes and had 0 experience overall. Professor Jason Medina welcomed him into the adult class with open arms. He showed him step by step how to do each move until he was confident and doing the moves with the students in the class. The professor is very clear with his instructions which makes it easy for beginners to catch right on! Our nephew absolutely loves the 6pm class, everyone is super friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend this studio. Our nephew is 14yrs old.

If you're looking to train jiu jitsu, Dedicated is the place!! Professor Jason is very knowledgeable, experienced and personable. Both adult and kids classes are awesome! Everyone is welcoming and helpful. My husband and my son train at Dedicated. My husband has learned so many techniques, lost weight, gained strength and endurance. My son's focus and attention span have noticeably improved and he's made a lot of new friends. I definitely recommend Dedicated to everyone!

It's my third week at Artemis BJJ in Temecula--about seven mat hours in--and I'm already confident…read morein making an accurate review. I'm quite a few years over 50, and this is my fourth academy attempt in the last ten years. By happenstance, I saw their recent month-to-month Facebook promotion and jumped on it, especially when I found out we could wear any gi we wanted. The culture here is the right fit for me. The other academies I tried just were not the right fit, but Artemis feels different. The academy culture is amazing, and it is obvious that it is driven from the top down. The environment is fun, relaxed, professional, and welcoming--without losing the seriousness and discipline needed to actually learn. What also stands out is how inclusive the academy feels. That seems to be the culture of the students Artemis attracts: respectful, welcoming, and supportive of people from all different backgrounds and experience levels. If you want to learn BJJ in a fun and relaxed but professional environment, this is your place. Even if you are a grappling arts beginner later in life, Artemis is the perfect instructional environment. It really is a great fit for almost anyone. The techniques are taught in such a clear and practical way that you start picking them up quickly, and each week's lessons seem to review, reinforce, and build upon what was taught before. Another major plus is that the grappling sessions at the end of class are much more practical for my goals because students start from the standing position. Other academies I attended did not allow that, and for what I am looking for, that just was not practical. Artemis is perfect because you can train with different goals in mind. If you want to focus on sport BJJ and competition, you can do that. If you want to focus more on combatives and self-defense, you can approach your training that way as well. If you have a youth wrestling background, this is your place. Professor Leavy does an exceptional job bridging the gap between wrestling and BJJ. He teaches in a way that is simple, precise, and easy to understand. He is very easy to learn from, and he is clearly a natural teacher. If you have prior combatives training, Professor Leavy is also excellent at bridging basic wrestling and combatives into BJJ in a seamless way that feels natural to the body. I take Professor Leavy's classes because they fit perfectly with my schedule, but every instructor I have seen at Artemis has been exceptional. The private lessons are absolutely worth it as well, and they are very reasonably priced for world-class instruction. The schedule at Artemis is also excellent. They offer 0600 classes, mid-morning classes, and evening classes, which makes it much easier for adults with busy lives to train consistently. I really like it here, and I hope life circumstances allow me to keep training at this academy.

I've personally seen him instruct the kids and teens group/class, ensuring the proper fundamentals are being shown and practiced, as well as safety within training and training partners. Making this academy a safe and family oriented/friendly training environment. At the same time, I've personally had Professor Rudy drill with and assist me in my own BJJ strategy and game, in Gi and No-Gi. I highly recommend Lokahi Jiu-Jitsu to all age groups, that want to improve their Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu skills, or even just start for the very first time! When my son comes to the age of 3, I plan on enrolling him to this academy so he can start his BJJ journey!

I can't say enough on how Dan Henderson's gym improved my boys life. My boys went from timid,…read moreuncoordinated, scared of everything even a ball, very soft boys to Confident, motivated and strong boys. The gym affected every area in their life. They can play dodgeball and kickball which they couldn't before. They don't get bullied anymore and still are able to keep their kind and gentle demeanor. It wasn't easy at first they hated the gym the 1st, 5 months but I told them, they had to give it a year. Now they love the gym and they are so happy have the skills set. They are still white belts and will probably never be fighters but they are no longer cowards. The atmosphere is a close group who all are very kind, and patient, yet the best of the best fighters who are tough but humble. Love the coaches Joe, Sam, Trevor, Louie all of these guys do a great job encouraging these kids. If you have a kid who is weak, scared of a ball, completely uncoordinated, take them to Dan's give it a year make them go faithfully at least 2x a week to jujitsu or wrestling and they will make your child have confidence and courage. It will improve their future. Don't worry your kid won't become a jerk they stay humble. I can't thank the Dan's gym enough on how my boys improved.

This place is like the gym Average Joe's in the movie Dodge Ball (except not the good guys, just…read morethe average part). They have some great instructors, but unfortunately the members create an atmosphere of insecurity and fear. If you show up with any experience, confidence, or heaven forbid are good looking, in shape, and not religious, then you will be hated like you're a Globo Gym member. Not only will they hate you, they will begin to spread lies and rumors about you and give you dirty glances. We witnessed them allow a member to continuously cause trouble, disobey the rules of the mat, and disrespect other members of the gym and the instructors and manager never did anything until after 9 months of not paying his dues they finally kicked him out. This guy was over 6' tall, 270 pounds, tattoos on his face... he was intimidating. He was also a very poor sport, no sportsmanship and no regard for etiquette. He threw tantrums when he didn't get submissions in jiu jitsu, he was always challenging the upper ranked belts to prove himself, he tried to start physical altercations with professional fighters at fight night, he tried to start fights with my husband threatening him through text, and they even allowed this member's young son to accost little girls in jiu jitsu, making creepy comments to them, and bullying other members of all ages, much like his father. There is a heavy Christian influence pervading the place, which seems to encourage the negative behavior. They forgive the bully over and over which punishes the victims. That member was just one example of the culture at large. Be aware of the groups of women who are there every day who act like they own the place and bully around doing what they want without consequences, acting like their membership doesn't cost the same as yours. If you want to go back to high school but pay for it, then this is your spot.
