Not to sound dramatic or anything, but to be honest, our family now loves our house as much as we…read moreprobably should have when we first bought it. And we have Buckshot to thank for that 100%. From day one David and his crew members showed up bright and early and got to work. And it was obvious and clear he has a passion for his craft and takes pride in his work. At the end of each day, he had cleaned up after himself and throughout the entire process he was meticulously tidy. Our Contruction needs included enclosing a covered patio to make a fourth bedroom. What sounds easy enough was actually an arduous task --the slab needed to be brought up about 3 inches, one of the exterior walls had an existing gate entrance and latticed brick work, there was an outflow pipe from the water heater on the other wall, and probably other annoying elements I'm forgetting. David took those tasks head on and with stride. In the process, he discovered the birdbox that hung over one of the exterior walls had taken on a lot of water damage. He rebuilt it and came up with a solution to prevent such excessive water damage in the future. He was not going to leave a problem he uncovered unaddressed, which is truly an admiral and much needed quality in more contractors and handy-doers. Our job also included knocking down a wall to make the entranceway more open, putting in a proper coat closet, closing off a doorway, and relocating the backdoor (basically, rerouting the strange layout of our home to make it work for our family). Ellen, the office manager, was accessible and receptive to any questions or concerns. She took my statement, "I don't even want to have to sweep up after y'all" to heart and would often tell me to let her do the sweeping. At the end of the project she sent my daughter a thoughtful "room warming" gift, which was truly a personable touch. Their bid was the most competitive and I don't feel that I sacrificed quality work in the least bit. If anything, I feel confident in saying we couldn't have found anyone better for the job. When the job fell behind schedule for reasons beyond their control, David and Ellen stayed late one night painting and ensuring the bedroom was ready to be moved in to "on target" and as promised. I cannot say enough about my experience with Buckshot and hope they go far in their business endeavor. We all need or know someone who needs an honest, reliable, and trustworthy contractor and the industry needs more David Bieluts.

Unbelievable how almost everything we had Kim's floor do at our house ended up with issues and…read moreincorrect installations. Floors weren't laid properly and started to buckle. A representative from Shaw came out to attempt to warranty it through the manufacture. His report said the moisture readings where fine and that the installation didn't leave the floors room to expand causing it to buckle. Suppose to have warranty on products and labor but that's a joke. No help there Kim's says it's not their installation even after two other flooring professionals agree with the manufacture. Shower that we paid thousands of dollars to have them tile leaked so bad that the water ran outside the house!! Had to have a whole wall treated and repaired at my expense. Kim's came out said sorry it wasn't sealed or caulked (finished) and they finished it for me. No reimbursement about the water damage. Tile floors that they laid in the bathroom have low spots where the tile dropped. Said they could fix that but that didn't happen either. Now we are told that the whole shower must be busted out and redone because despite Kim's coming out to finish it two years later it still leaks. Now I have to fix two walls where the water damaged them. Years of the runaround and we paid premium money for premium products and installation (close to $30,000) for what headaches and misery. Had to have the whole floors redone costing an additional $20,000 and now the shower will be yet another expense I get to pay to do twice in less than a five year span. I would avoid this company unless you enjoy lighting tens of thousands of dollars on fire, because that's what I feel like I did by trusting Kim's.
