This Decathlon store is quite a large store, a little like a warehouse and specializes in…read moresports-wear, I personally think it is in a great location in the Saint-Denis area of Paris, which is just outside Paris on the motorway on the way to the airport, it is also right opposite the Stade de France, the largest stadium in France and basically the flagship stadium of the recent Euro 2016 Championships and of course home to the french football and rugby teams.
With an hour to go until my stadium tour across the way at the Stade de France, I thought I would call in here to pass the time, having never visited a Decathlon store before, despite them being a big name with stores throughout Europe, including the UK, and especially in France where they were founded and have 302 stores, they mainly are in Europe with the stores in the US closing in 2006, but still they do have 38 stores in India, 19 stores in Brazil and even a store in Kuwait, as well as 22 stores in the United Kingdom.
As a brand, Decathlon are classed as one of the biggest sports brands in the world, despite only being so large in the likes of France, Spain, Italy and China which are the only 4 countries out of the 31 countries Decathlon are in, to have over 100 stores, but they still seem to be growing even with one store in Lebanon.
Moving on to my regular review for this branch in question, it does seem more of a warehouse and a Go-outdoors type of place with a wide selection of tents etc, , it seemed more of a retailer for sporting equipment and outdoors type things rather than clothing, which there was a limited selection.
Walking around the store, didn't have a great feel to it the staff members here didn't seem too friendly either, due to the location it isn't in the nicest of surroundings either, with not much nearby other than The Stade de France, so if you come here it is probably a place you would have to go out of your way to go to, and because of this it sadly just isn't worth it hence I feel this store is worth a single one star.
