Justin explained the leak below was the result of poorly installed pipes. We amicably negotiated his compensation then he installed the new faucet we previously purchased. He reconfigured the existing pipes, cleaned up, and explained the work. He guaranteed his work and finally promised he would call to check our satisfaction in a few days. The builders had broken a water line on the…read moreday of the walk through, and then when the water had to be turned off, the contractors took two huge shits in the downstairs bathrooms...and left them. We then were told they would not do the final walk through, including the outside of the house, until the morning of the closing. I had serious misgivings about going through with the closing, given that their were a series of repairs that needed to be made to the home still, and our experience with the builder had been soooo bad up to that point. Despite my misgivings, we closed on the house after getting assurances that the damages would be fixed asap. It's almost three months later now, nothing has been fixed, and the builder has never returned our calls or messages. Seriously, this experience has been so terrible, and we are one of five houses in a row that were all build together, and all have the same problems. The MO of Matt Byrd Homes is to make lofty promise about fixing their mistakes so that you will go through with the closing, but as soon as they get their money, they disappear entirely and renege on everything. Please spare yourself, and do not purchase a home from Matt Byrd!
