When I mentioned I wanted to take photos on the National Mall, she let me know I needed to apply for and receive a permit from the National Park Service (we called it our donation fee to keep from getting bitter with NPS). It took longer than expected to get from one end of DC to another due to an unexpected road closure (dignitary motorcade), so we were running about an hour late. I was so grateful Erin was willing to wait for our arrival on a day that is best described as "unseasonably cold". Erin kept the initial portion of the photo shoot moving as she knew those under 7 years old and over 70 years old were expiring fast in the cold weather. She even was able to coax a smile out of Alexandra (my niece) who at 7 months old believes in "stranger danger." My favorite part of the photo shoot was the time my husband and I got to spend "just us" with Erin as it felt fun (and we got to kiss a lot). The photos turned out amazingly beautiful and I loved her creative shots! Erin knew just where to take us on an overcast day! Erin even had a blueberry pie on hand for Pi Day. It's those special touches that don't scream cheesy, but scream memorable! I included a few samples (and possibly I'm not the best model) but Erin truly made all of look amazing.

I hate leaving bad reviews but I wanted to share my experience so others don't fall into this... When deciding which videographer to use for our big day, 5 Star Production's inclusion of RAW footage was a major selling point for us because we were interested in archiving memorable moments with family members. We were happy with our on-boarding experience prior to the wedding, our experience with the videographer the day of the wedding, the wedding film post-production quality, and the quick responsiveness immediately following the ceremony (edited video was produced and delivered to us in under 60 days). Unfortunately, the RAW footage promised in our contract was not made available to us via cloud or hard-drive despite multiple follow-up emails. My bridesmaids spent many hours preparing a special Wedding Toast performance complete with a custom song. The majority of that performance was not included in the final wedding video, so we were very excited to have access to the RAW footage of the performance. Unfortunately despite multiple emails and phone calls post-event, they did not deliver the promised RAW footage. After several "we're looking into it" responses, I finally got a email 9 months after the wedding saying that they couldn't find it and that it was probably deleted. The sentimental value of the lost footage is priceless. The wedding photographer I selected offers literally 10 years of secure photo back-up for my engagement and wedding photos. I am shocked that in today's digital world, my RAW video footage was not securely backed-up for a minimum of 6-12 months at 5 Star Production. Weddings are one-time-only moments... I trusted their team to be a good steward of a major life milestone and I am extremely disappointed that some of my most important event memories are lost forever.

My little guy was a bit difficult, but Pat was able to create images of him that truly captured his personality and essence.
