After an initial evaluation remotely, I was told I needed to be evaluated for autism, depression, OCD, and PTSD, not just adhd, and that the testing could be done remotely. That turned out to be untrue. They can only do those types of evaluations in person, and the nearest locations are hours away from Crystal River. What makes this worse is that they didn't even review my previous records from the initial adhd evaluation with thier own psychiatrist before trying to schedule me with her suggested tests. If I hadn't insisted they look at my prior evaluation with her, they would have put me through yet another ADHD-only assessment, forcing me to repeat the same exhausting process all over again while ignoring the broader conditions that may actually explain my symptoms. For someone already struggling, that kind of carelessness feels dismissive and harmful. Using confusing or incomplete information on people in a mental health crisis is not just irresponsible, it's unethical. My initial in-person appointment at the Crystal River office was canceled by the office staff at the last minute, and choosing to continue remotely has made things even worse. I've been dealing with ongoing issues since, and it's been nothing short of a nightmare. If you need real help, please look elsewhere. No one in crisis deserves to be treated like this.
