There was a small kiosk for Anita's Bakery set up at a corner of the food court of Chong Hua Hospital in Mandaue City, Cebu. They did not have a lot for sale, but what they did have available for sale was really tasty. She bought an assortment of baked and packaged goods made by Anita's Bake Shop. My personal favorites were the Cheesy Bread, Ube Ensymada, Torta, Regular Ensaymada, and Spanish Bread. They bake the Spanish Bread fresh!! They have a little oven at their kiosk. The rest of the goods are delivered to them from their main bakery. Anita's Bake Shop can be recommended for really good bakery products!! I can see why my wife is such a fan!!

We love dropping by Titay's every visit we make to Cebu, Philippines. Sure, you can find their products in many grocery and souvenir stores all over Cebu. We prefer dropping by their home store because they are conveniently located nearby my wife's hometown. Titay's is a great place to pick up "pasalubong"!! What does that mean? Pasalubong is a gift or souvenir given to friends or relatives by a person who has returned from a trip. Titay's has so many choices. There is even an option where they have already prepackaged several boxes of goodies in a convenient durable hand carry bag. Terrific for hand carrying on your plane ride. They make a variety of snacks. By far, though, their most popular item is their Rosquillos. There are other companies who make these round crunchy and buttery cookies. Titay's is the original maker, and the best of the bunch!!! This store in Liloan also has a bakery with display cases showcasing sweets they made for the day. Had the pleasure of trying their Chocolate Surprise cake at a party. So when I spotted this Leona's at the first floor of Ayala Center Mall, I just had to stop in. I ordered a slice of Carrot Cake. My wife ordered a slice of Mango cake. We ate them at their shop because they have plenty of seats and tables for dining in. Both of the cakes tasted alright, but the Chocolate Surprise is still my favorite by far. I will make further trips to Leona's to see if there is anything else I really like.
