On arrival the first thing you see are the white sausages and hams hanging in the window. There are people sitting in the window seat and as you walk in there are white tiles from floor to ceiling. Well, this is a former butcher's, but now this space is used to showcase work by upcoming artists. The district, Noord, is known for its galleries and artsy shops on the Zwaanshals, but if you venture a little further you come across this venue situated near the old cemetery of Crooswijk.
In this instance the main space is used by ikRotterdam; the theme of their illustrations is fitting: all types of meat products adorn the walls. Another eye catcher is the large black and white panorama of the city, which is being coloured in by children and adults alike. The next space contains the bar as well as work by Malou Cohen, who uses found objects to make brooches and, for instance, miniature landscapes and people.
