I always try to stop in here every once in a blue moon to see if a book will stand out for me to purchase. Once in a while, I get lucky to find a book that strikes my interest. However, most of the time I try to check out other bookstores that have that warm, cozy, and friendly feeling because half of the time I feel they definitely don't got it.

I have been a customer of Kroese for decades. Even not living in the Netherlands I pop in every…read moretime I'm in Nijmegen. And I'm dismayed to see the low number of customers. They used to be mobbed and they still deserve to be. Reason 1: they have everything. Really. Tons of music in every genre. Reason 2: they know about everything. I can always ask for recommendations. Reason 3: they let you listen to everything. Really. I usually pick half a dozen CDs out of the bins, listen to them, and then go home with 2 or 3 that I'm perfectly happy with. No buying based on a review and then coming home and hating the music.
