The drinks are very good and it's more like a dessert drink place. The only reason this place is 4 stars because it's a lil bit pricey. However, the boss and his wife is extremely kind and patience and even helped us to mix our drinks. I love it mucho mucho. The owner,kim was so friendly. We went to their place but it was closed for business that Monday when we go for a drink. The chewy pandan dessert was amazing, as was the pandan waffle. There's such a huge selection also, with most of the shaved ice desserts using Asian-centric ingredients like pandan, grass jelly, taro/ube, and mung bean. A great alternative to ice cream, there's no need to wait until summer to enjoy the treats here. It's oddly always empty so we waited until today to stop by; our loss! We'll be back. DD Mau offers drinks and small desserts, and is competent on both accounts. I was sad to see the Bambu in the area close, but DD Mau offers similar items and I am glad to have found them. First, the coconut pandan waffle is amazing. Nice and chewy, best when eaten fresh and hot, only slightly sweet from the coconut, and of course green from the pandan. Price is $3.50 for one or $6 for two, I recommend getting the deal since you won't want to share. Now the drinks look quite similar on paper, with many overlapping ingredients. I have observed that the order loosely correlates to the amount of ingredient in there, but once you stir it up then it's hard to tell the difference. Our go-to drinks are the #8 Tropical Sunrise and the #1 Chewy Taro. Their unique ingredients are Mung Bean and Taro tapioca and jelly. We usually ask for less sweetener, and also for less ice. The ice is added at the end as a scoop of shaved ice on top, and helps to keep the drink cold. I find that it ensures the temp close to freezing, while I would rather have it in the 40-45 F range (still cold but no chance of teeth sensitivity or cold hands from holding the cup). Also be careful when you get the drinks, since the top is open and we had a cup fall over in the car and spill a little bit of the coconut milk. The drinks are nice to pair with a walk, and I recommend the nearby Don Knabe park for that. read more

I dat down for 10 minutes... 2 ladies came in,,, waited at counter for 5 minutes. Finally someone came to take their order. I was so sad when Bambu closed down, but glad this place sells similar drinks as Bambu. I got the Sweet Thai and it was great. I love the different jellies they have in the drink and the jackfruit was very aromatic and sweet. Will be coming back here for more. read more

Review based on deserts only. We come by quite often as it's the only Vietnamese style dese place in the area (lees sandwiches doesn't count) Ambience: 2/5. Nothing special. Super bare walls. Computer screens turned off (to save energy?). Menus are simple and visually boring. Store is clean though. Food 2/5: Jelly coco- refreshing but watered down. Pandemic has affected supplies and price for all and increase in prices are understandable. But portions have gone way down. And coco water seems to be diluted. Chewy taro: good coconut flavor and good chew. But lacks any taro flavor. And again portion size laughable for the price (almost $7!). You get much more for the price in little Saigon at a place called Hien Khanh. Customer service 4/5: always nice and professional! Phone orders super easy. This place used to be so good. But has gone downhill. Maybe the drinks are better but desserts are a huge letdown. read more

Everyone needs to try pandan waffles. They're delicious! Not too sweet and a little bit mochi-like when they're fresh. What I also like is that they're affordable. The selection of teas and smoothies is also pretty good. The Vietnamese and Thai ingredients available are fun to try! Ordering ahead to just pick up is a good idea on a busy afternoon because of the people who might be coming here to pick up dessert after a dinner near the mall. Went in today to buy a drink today it was my second time stopping by so I wasn't to familiar with the menu used the kiosk to place my order for a sweet avocado drink smoothie . When I placed my order I didn't know there was two different types of when I clicked it but when I got my drink I pressed a different kind of sweet avocado drink not the original one as I thought . I asked the girl working in the front for the smoothie and she told me she cannot change it for me I told her if I can just get a refund and order my correct drink but her Manager would not allow it . Very unfair how I couldn't get a refund for a drink I did not want i was forced to keep it no matter . My only option I was told from the girl employee was to buy another drink . To me it's completely unfair the drink already cost $8 and I would not waste another $8 for my original drink I was in total I would be spending $17 for a drink I didn't want . It's completely unfair of the circumstances I was in very unprofessional the customer service . Needs improvement because I will not be coming here again and since they can't give you a refund on any drink you order even if it's a simple mistake . read more

The restaurant is small but inviting. The staff is very friendly & helpful, and I noticed right away that the restaurant appears to be very clean and uncluttered. My boba smoothie was made quickly and was delicious, as expected. The serving size and price is on par with most other boba shops I've been to. The amount of boba was generous! +++ They also offer an extended amount of beverage flavors and types of drinks eg. Smoothies, Teas and Coffees. The only thing they don't offer is a restroom. We stopped by yesterday after lunch and were greeted by the sweetest and most helpful worker. She walked us through the menu and gave great descriptive detail on the drinks we were interested in. I ended up trying one of her favorites, the taro Vietnamese coffee. The drink was definitely a Vietnamese coffee, which I do like, but it had a creamier texture and interesting aftertaste from the taro. The drink also went a long way and wasn't just a splash on ice like some places have done before. And yes I am aware that the ice is to help dilute the concentrated coffee because it's so strong. I mean, I grew up in orange county... But yes, we came back for a drink to take home later and the same girl was there, friendly and helpful as before.
