We were looking for a place that was different than your usual boba shop on the block and stumbled upon DD Mau. I love drinks with coconut milk AND extra toppings so I knew I had to stop by. I ordered the sweet Thai without jackfruit since jackfruit is not my cup of tea. It was a chilly day so I asked for my drink without ice without realizing that the drink is a blended drink (face palm). They were nice enough to put the ice on the side for me but it came in a plastic bag with two big balls of crushed ice and I found it extra hilarious, so don't skip out on the ice! Drink was DELIGHTFUL though! Perfectly sweet with the right amount of toppings to enjoy. A little on the pricey side but it's worth it in my opinion! Was craving their Coconut Pandan Waffle on Sunday and man did it hit the spot. Baked fresh, the perfect mochi-like texture in the middle, with crispy edges. 2 for $7 (only a quarter depicted in the photo). Tip- Would recommend enjoying the waffles immediately because they can get soggy if you leave them in the bag. Do it for the experience! Also would recommend their Sweet Avocado. Arguably the best drink on their menu. When my sister and I order, we ask for no chickpeas and add boba. Honestly, it's hard to describe this drink... it's simply incredible. Fresh avocado chunks with amazing toppings makes it the perfect refresher. read more

Recently stopped by here after grabbing dinner with some coworkers and I'm so glad I did! This place has a variety of Vietnamese desserts, boba drinks and smoothies. I tried the #2 and brought a #3 home for my mom to try. They were both absolutely delicious. The desserts are no overly sweet and have a great balance of flavor. My dessert (the #2) is arguably a "healthier" drink with goji berries, and jujubes but it still tastes fantastic. There was the perfect amount of ice where I didn't feel like I was getting jipped. The #3 had a good balance of sweetness from the fruit and creaminess from the coconut milk. The highlight of our visit though was the kind gentleman at the counter! He was soooooo friendly like SOOOOOO friendly. He helped us order, walked us through the menu and all the options. Then after I ordered my 2nd dessert, he asked if it was to take home and said he'd put it in the freezer so it doesn't melt for me. He taught us a new way of mixing the desserts that would maximize the flavor and after he was done with his shift and heading out he came over to remind us about the drinks in the back. If you have that one friendly Asian uncle that everyone loves I'd imagine this is the guy. read more

Solid Asian dessert drinks when you aren't feeling boba teas and the basic stuff. Great for caffeine free options. I got the sweet Thai which has a coconut milk base with fruit mix, jelly, and tapioca. We also got the Jelly Coco in coconut water base, coconut, jelly, basil seed which is kinda like a chia seed in water. Both came out quickly, the two drinks were $16 which is a good price for soemthing with a variety of tasty dessert pieces not just boba. Make sure to break up the ice and stir a bit before drinking otherwise it's pretty sweet at first. Tastes perfect even if you don't drink it for a while because they account for ice melting. But they also have boba, Thai tea, matcha, dalgonea coffee, Vietnamese coffee, candy stand, and macron ice cream sandwiches! I can't wait to return! read more

The service at this place is great and the staff are nice. The drinks are kind of sophisticated but the staff were helpful in explaining the details of the drinks. I got the sweet avocado drink. I used to frequent Bambu growing up and all the ones in my area closed. I saw this spot next to the restaurant I was having dinner at and knew I was going to be getting dessert from here. If I just hadn't had a pasta dinner, I would have ordered a Chewy Pandan but I knew that would be too filling so I opted for the Jelly Coco. The Jelly Coco is coconut water based instead of coconut milk so it's more refreshing and lighter. It fruits (coconut, lychee, longan) and fun pandan and basil seed bits. I enjoyed my drink and would definitely be returning to try the Chewy Pandan. Service was quick! We were there arounf 30 minutes before closing and although there were a few people who ordered ahead of us, we still got our drinks fairly quick. First timer. Stopped on my way to school. The place was empty, but was clean. Staff was friendly. I ordered a brown sugar milk tea, but instead received a brown sugar milk. Prior to ordering, I asked if there were non-dairy alternatives, I was told there was only whole milk. But when she went back to make my drink, I see they offer coconut milk. Found this new dessert place on yelp and decided to check it out. They serve shave ice desserts that is very much like the Filipino halo-halo. They have different combinations of ingredients which made for a very Thai, Vietnamese, Taiwanese, Filipino fusion dessert experience. We tried the tarolicious, sweet avocado, sweet thai, strawberry shake and the instagram famous Dalgona coffee. All were good but my fav was the sweet avocado. Dalgona was good too but had to be sweetened when I got home as it was way too strong for me. Had the Jelly Coco - very refreshing. A bit on the higher priced end at $7.75 regular size. A friend had the passion fruit tea $6...Merp...tasted bitter. It's a small place with simple seating. Great photos of each with ingredient descriptions on menu. No bathroom. Had to sneak into the pasta restaurant next door to use theirs. Definitely just grab n go place. Don't know if I'd visit there again since there is so many other spots w great drinks at a better price point. Fun to check out after Santa Anita Races. Staff were friendly. Customer service is friendly, you'll need to ring the buzzer to get the cashier's attention since they are usually in the back working on other drinks/desserts. I recently had the pleasure of trying #5 drink and it was absolutely delightful! You can really tell the coconut milk in this dessert drink is freshly made--it's light, natural sweetness and a subtle richness that you just don't get with processed coconut milk. It adds such a vibrant, tropical taste to the drink, and you can practically taste the freshness. The beans in the dessert drink were cooked to absolute perfection! What a cute boba shop! My friends and I finished eating ayce hotpot for dinner and wanted to grab boba. They have so many refreshing options here! I didn't want to get a drink so my husband and I got their desserts. We got the #1 chewy pandan and the #6 sweet avocado. My sister-in-law got their mango drink which I took a sip of and was delicious. All their desserts and drinks aren't overly sweet it's the perfect amount of sweetness for me. I usually get 50% sweet at most boba places and didn't need to adjust them at all here. The chewy pandan was super refreshing! My husband enjoyed the sweet avocado, it had a lot of avocado and everything in it paired nicely. Highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area! Came here on a Saturday afternoon and it was pretty quiet. We were the only customers for the 30ish minutes we were there. I got the Taiwanese sweet, with half sugar and it was perfect! It was so refreshing for a hot day, and it hits differently than a boba. So satisfyingly cold, sweet, and chewy all at the same time. We also tried the pandan waffle and it was pretty tasty. The texture was great-- they definitely used some tapioca flour to get that chewy, mochi texture in the middle. But it was almost neon green, so I think it was mostly just pandan extract and food coloring. Would still go back and get it again, though! read more

My family and I would always come here when we crave Vietnamese desserts. The drinks used to come filled with lots of toppings, plus a strong coconut flavor. Yesterday, we came and ordered 5 dessert drinks and we're disappointed that the toppings were reduced to only 1/5th of the cup. We saw the customers before us leave with cups half filled with toppings, and we were surprised when we opened up the bag and saw our drinks with nothing like what the previous customters had. Given that this was almost $10 each cup, we expected much more than just 80% coconut milk with so little topping. The coconut milk was also very watered down....it was our worst experience yet here. read more

This place is an absolute gem! The drinks are authentic. My favorite is the Jelly Coco with extra taro jelly. My husband loves the Chewy Taro. Imagine the perfect blend of sweetness, coupled with the most amazing chewiness of the jellies. My daughter's go to is the strawberry mojito while my boys get the boba drinks. Something for everyone! We split the pandan waffles...another must have! The owner is the sweetest and kindest guy ever! I wish there was one closer to where I live, so now I stop by every time I'm in town. My drinks have had issues with them (i.e., no coconut syrup, watered down, wrong milk, less espresso shot than previously). Now, the waffle is not available for purchasing through their online ordering system despite them available in the store. Overall, Homeboys is okay. It isn't what it used to be which is sad especially because i loved it...especially their Ube matcha latte and waffles. I hope this is a temporary shift and that the OG Homeboy comes back.

Decided to give it a try again, and it did not disappoint. The barista was kind enough to recommend his favorites and let me know that the uji tea cream top was similar to a hojicha latte. I tried it and loved it because it had a nice, sweet and nutty flavor. My mom tried the matcha meadow, and we both liked how light the lavender taste was. The lavender did not overpower the matcha. I also really like cafes that do house-made syrups, so this was a plus! While waiting for our drinks, I noticed there was a lot of seating and it seemed pretty quiet. This seems like a good study spot for those that want to focus without the hustle and bustle of a busy cafe. Keep in mind though, I did come on a weekday afternoon. The only downside I would say is that the price is pretty steep for a small cup of matcha/tea-- at $7.50 for a cup that looks smaller than a 16 oz. The flavor is there, but the price for an upsize would be an additional $1.25 equal to around $9 for a cup of coffee/matcha/tea. I do want to try the ferrero rocher latte and the crème bru-latte, so I may be back despite the price point.

The wall decorations were cute and nice to know that they sell matcha and hojicha powder. May give it a try the next time I come around!

I also wasn't too sure how fresh the cakes were since they had been sitting in the display. Whether I come back really depends on the flavor and quality of the food and drinks next time around.

I enjoy this place, been here a few times and never had any problems, but today I accidentally asked for a number 6 instead of number 4 and politely asked if it could be remade and was met with attitude about it being my fault for ordering wrong and I had to pay for the second drink to be made. Like I get it but maybe just a "sorry we can't remake drinks" and that's fine. Probably won't come here again for a while, left a bad feeling and didn't even enjoy my drink. read more
