If you appreciate your hairstylist being extremely late or standing you up all together, not listening to you in your consult, and upcharging you for things he doesn't do/his mistakes then he is your man.To explain, first of all, he was 32 minutes late to the appointment time that he set up for me the day before knowing full well I'd never met him before. Second, in my consult I told him exactly what I wanted (a dark brown balayage with a few blonde streaks and my hair cut to frame my face with a few layers so that it all looks blended because I don't like to spend a long time to do my hair in the mornings). He then wanted to upcharge me for the few blonde streaks claiming he'd do lowlights in my hair. I agreed because I wanted the dimension to contrast against the brown/caramel color. He then started to put bleach in my hair and I noticed his hands were shaking really badly. After a few fouls were placed he went into his drawer and pulled out some candy and popped it in his mouth (in the middle of bleaching my hair). He then finished and let me process. After 45 minutes of processing, he told me I needed to go under the heater to process and so I did, 15 minutes into that he left to go buy snacks and didn't return until 5-10 minutes after the heater had already turned off. He wasn't pleased with the color so processed me under the heater for another round meanwhile eating the snacks he purchased. When he removed the foils I voiced my concerns about it being too blonde and he said he'd tone it and so I listened because he was supposed to be the professional. After he toned and washed my hair, he began to dry it and my heart dropped and my eyes began to get teary. My hair was an ugly orangey brown with blonde tips. And I told him it wasn't what I asked for at all and he began to explain that the dark brown/caramel I asked for was bound to come out that way but seeing I was on the verge of tears, he decided to re-tone my hair. Afterward I was more happy with the color (my hair was still wet and it looked darker brown wet) (he also charged me $10 for more product used for the second round of toner after telling me the brown toner idea I gave him after he ruined my color was a great idea and that it was his idea initially but he didn't follow his gut) and he proceeded to cut it. I explained someone else messed up my hair by not framing my face and cutting two distinct layers and I didn't want that. I wanted it blended and a face framed cut. He did not let me see my hair cut after rather rushed to style it with large curls so that I could not see it after it was done with the cut. Six hours had passed by now, it was dark in his salon and the salons restroom but it seemed okay (much better that before). I went home and washed my hair a day later and realized he'd cut two distinct layers without blending it at all so now I have a thin layer of long shoulder length hair and another layer just above my shoulder. I also noticed the blonde streaks I'd asked for and that he upcharged me for were no where to be found. Once I realized how he'd cut my hair and the lack of blonde streaks I paid for I called him and asked for a fix. He agreed but did not set up and time for me because it was late that day. I called multiple times again on days I had free (within the same week that progressed to two weeks) and he ignored them all. I finally got through two weeks later and setup an appointment for the following day at 1. I called to confirm the appointment at 12 and 12:30 both of which he ignored. When I got there at 1, he was not there so I called him multiple times and waited until 1:20. He never called me back or responded to my texts about showing up. I'm warning you, DO NOT go to Bren Betico unless you want the most horrible experience of your life.

I was introduced to Mary by a mutual professional who stated Mary Hagood Needed help at her salon because her previous employee had up and quit and stole Mary's contacts, trying to ruin her business...she was in a real jam. I'm also I cosmetology instructor, when I came to work with Mary I was working at a school here in town. For 6months had full benefits and steady pay. So I went in and met Mrs, Mary Hagood we hit it off and I began working for her. When I came in things were a mess, units had not been fixed and the orders were backing up on her. So as we began to work to get her things in order I felt we had made a connection. She asked me to work with her full time and leave the school. she matched my checks and everything. So I put my two week notice in so I could be at Hagoods full time! the hair business is my life and hair replacement is my calling. After being there for two months things were looking up Mary was getting paid again thru the va I had fixed so many hair pieces that Ms Mary was singing and dancing all around the salon because that money was hitting the bank $12,000 and more. I began advertising and I began bringing in clients. Things were looking good so I thought! Mary knew my last child was graduating on June 3,2014 it's all I talked about. I let Mary know on Monday I would not be in on Tuesday graduation day. Well when I came in on wed it was over between me and Hagood She had cut my pay in half even after I did clients and sold units for her. One client was so upset with Mary she refused to pay for her unit. Mary left me in the salon to face this upset client And said she is going to complain with the va because she felt cheated by Mary Hagood and do I! I do not have a job at the school with my full benefits because I trusted this women. She let me go the day after my sons graduation!! Now I understand why Linda did what she did Mary Hagood is a fake money hungry individual her receptionist as well.
