First off, our room was spotless. We had a double queen suite that had 2 beds and a pull out couch, as well as a kitchenette. Our view was very pretty, overlooking a green field and pond. Another plus is that they offer free wifi and breakfast with our stay. I was very impressed with our accommodations. So, why 2 stars and not higher? Well I must say the staff are not very friendly. Front desk is polite enough but by no means friendly or welcoming. There's an air of condescension...like they are doing you a favor by checking you in. Had I felt even a smidgen of genuine kindness emanating from the staff I probably would rated this hotel 5 stars as the condition of the room and furniture were outstanding...but hospitality is key when working front desk and I certainly did feel that the staff were not hospitable at all. And it wasn't only myself, We stayed there with a large wedding party and when speaking to others, many said they had the same experience. Days Inn, you have a lovely hotel, now to make it outstanding, focus on some customer intimacy...it will make a world of difference. read more
