Day Medical Center was recommended to me by a coworker when my Mom came to live with me 8 years ago. I know this sounds silly, but my Mom came to look forward to going to the doctors office. After spending 6 months in a rehab facility in Oklahoma, Doctors, nurses and caregivers were not on her list of people to visit voluntarily. From our first visit she came to rely on "Doctor Katie". Somehow all of the people at Day Medical have avoided any of the jaded attitude you see all too often in health care. They made Mom feel special. While Mom would fuss with me about going to her cardiac doctor, or her eye Doctor, she would ask almost every week if it was time to go see Doctor Katie again. She also loved the nurse we knew as "Kentucky Girl". My Mom passed away very early this past Monday morning at age 102. I will always be grateful for the care from everyone at Day Medical Center, but even more grateful for making Mama feel special. read more

I am a 74 year old retired Army Guy, I have been using Kane Medical since the day it opened. It has gotten much better as time goes on... The Staff and Dr Kenny are amazing, My only big problem is they do not have a way to make me 35 years old again, Really this is the place to go for medical help.... read more

We have been so blessed to find this clinical group. We cannot say enough about the quality of care, and the amount of time they take to listen and care for their patients. Our nurse practitioner is Meredith, but they all are amazing. We first came to them with some major issues my 84 year old mother was experiencing. They quickly identified and made adjustments that had a huge impact. Mom cannot say enough good about Meredith and whole team. Their followup is extraordinary. And they proactively check on their patients. If high quality care and people who take precious time to listen is your desire, this is the group for you. We literally cannot express our satisfaction with proper words. We are "honored" they'd receive our mom as a patient. We feel very fortunate. read more

Day Medical Center is located in the Charles and Rae Kane Center, home to the Council on Aging of Martin County. This location offers a unique opportunity to receive premier medical care in a state-of-the-art setting that integrates a wide range of services under one roof. Established in 2012.

The Kane Medical Group was established to provide excellent primary medical care tailored to the needs of seniors and their families and caregivers. The Kane Medical Group is a service of the Council on Aging of Martin County.

Meet the Manager: Dr. R. Emmet K.

Robert Emmet Kenney, M.D., Ph.D. is Board Certified in Internal Medicine. A graduate of the University of Miami School of Medicine, he performed his residency at the Yale Primary Care Internal Medicine Residency Program, where he also served as chief resident and clinical instructor. Dr. Kenney served on the faculty of Emory University School of Medicine and the Yale University School of Medicine.He helped start the Internal Medicine Residency Training Program at the Cleveland Clinic in Florida.Dr. Kenney has worked with the Medicare Advantage insurance program as Medical Director and Chief Medical Officer for several national and Florida-based insurers.He most recently served as Regional Medical Director for WellMed Medical Management, Inc. Dr. Kenney practices medicine that is soundly based in science but focuses on the entirety of the patient, their family and their caregiver support group.Medical treatment is delivered with empathy and understanding.
