This was fantastic! I was excited that I could reserve online and it was SUPER easy! We drove up to Cave Rock from Stateline. He called us ahead of time and said come early if you want because the wind might pick up, so we did! The park was very easy to find. He was waiting for us with everything ready to do we didn't even really have to get wet. It was beautiful and relaxing. My husband and I both had our own kayak. Any listing with a full 5 star rating would leave anyone who isn't naive to be somewhat skeptical. But like the other reviews said, this one really earned all 5 stars! I took my first trip to the west coast and wanted to check out Lake Tahoe. The first day I did a lot of hiking and for day two I wanted a new perspective by actually getting out in the water. I'm so glad I found Day Go since it is one of maybe two kayak companies that rent before Memorial Day. The price is also very reasonable for the equipment, service, and amount of time you have out on the water. I checked the reviews and like they said, go to the Cave Rock parking lot and at the very end you'll see Anthony's truck with a bunch of kayaks. Lifejacket and dry bag included (I got one for my phone, since I had a backpack). I had originally planned to do regular kayaking with paddles, but Anthony set me up with one of the peddling Hobie kayaks and boy am I glad he did. Those things move way faster and with much less effort, allowing you to see more in less time. It was amazing to be out on the water pretty much by myself. In two hours, I saw may be 3 other people out there. When I was done, Anthony was waiting in the water to pull me onto the shore. I never had to step foot in the water which was great since I only had hiking boots (packed light). I would definitely go to him again next time I'm in town. read more

I will say the start of the issue was weather, thunderstorms this afternoon, no one's fault. I called and talked with a wonderful woman and she suggested we opt for the 2 hour rental, not 4. I agreed and she immediately refunded me the cost difference. She said to wait for the shuttle. Well, the shuttle arrived and the owner was driving. I tried to ask him a few questions to get his take on the weather and he immediately shushed me to answer a call. Ok, I'll wait, he's got a business to run. Then a gentlemen walked up and the Day Go owner immediately hung up his phone and started talking to him. The man was the leasing agent for the parking lot where the shuttle picks up Day Go's customers. They had a long, 30+ minute discussion about the need for permits to operate shuttle services, lack of rental payments to the center, and ultimately the owner was asked to stop conducting business in that parking lot moving forward. During this conversation some really dark clouds rolled in, literally and figuratively. The owner finally turned around and I said the weather doesn't look good, I'll take a refund. Keep in mind, the wonderful lady on the phone earlier said that I could do the 2 hour rental or get a refund. When I asked the owner directly for the refund he rolled his eyes and said I can't do that, my system is complicated. I told him that someone at his office just issued me a partial refund no more than 5 minutes prior. He said, well I don't know, I'll try. It's been 7 hours, no refund has been initiated. Long story short- the owner sucks, the lady on the phone is awesome, this business seems sketchy, and I want my refund. read more

While vacationing in Tahoe we really wanted to go kayaking. We had never been and wanted to try it out. My boyfriend found Anthony's service through Yelp and e decided o check it out! Let me start by saying that Anthony provided great service. He reached out to us the day before to explain where we needed to meet him and he arrived well before our allotted time and set everything up for us. He explained everything thoroughly and even accommodated our husky! We used the pedals instead of the oars as this was our first experience with kayaks. We were able to have the kayaks all day and docked and a pretty secluded cove near Zephyr cove. While there were a few people at the same location we had the cove to ourselves for most of the morning. Our dog was a little scared on our way to the cove but on the way back was pretty tuckered out from swimming and playing. Anthony was there as soon as we docked and took care of all the clean up. We def recommend Anthony's services and will be using them again. The best part was being able to share it with our dog! Be sure to bring a life vest for your doggo. read more

I rented a kayak from Anthony as a total newbie with one day's notice and it couldn't have gone better. He was very communicative via phone and text and we met up with no issues at Cave Rock State Park. He was super accommodating with my little pup, who I dragged along, and even told us about a dog beach we could land at. He gave great relaxed instructions on how to pedal the Hobie and take off and land. Had an amazing time taking out the trimaran. Lake Tahoe is beautiful and once the wind picked up the sailing was awesome! Anthony, the owner, is super relaxed and easy to deal with making reservations and giving weather updates etc. I'm usually skeptical if there are only 5-star yelp reviews but Anthony is worth every star of that. One word of caution: there is limited parking (we came in at noon) and had to leave the car on the side of the road. The walk along the road was a little precarious. We initially chose this kayak rental service for two reasons. 1) Anthony can take his kayaks to where ever you want to put in. We wanted to explore Emerald Bay for 5 hours and he conveniently brought the kayaks himself to Kiva Beach. Awesome, I was so glad I didn't gave to load it on my car! 2) He has, I believe, the only Hobie kayak rentals with the foot pedal propulsion around South Tahoe. I've been looking to buy one of these myself, and was happy to test drive a tandem for fishing. Using the foot pedals and the oars it makes cutting through water a breeze. But most importantly, Anthony is a great communicator and provided excellent customer service! Went out for a half day kayaking off of sand harbour with these amazing petal kayaks and absolutely loved it! I would recommend these babies to anyone looking for a quiet, relaxing, efficient paddle out on the lake. With the petals and the rudder, you really cruise and are able to turn easily. We called Antonio on a whim as his kayak rentals were the closest to the cafe where we were having lunch. He got us set up and within about 30 minutes of the call we were in the water. He set us up with pedal kayaks and we expected quite the workout, but were pleasantly surprised at the ease we would propel ourselves through the water. He adjusted each kayak to fit us individually and made sure we were comfortable before heading out. We were on the east side of the lake, which was much quieter and it didn't have near the boat traffic. Third year renting and can't wait to get back out there again! Anthony is the best to work with. I rented a hobie from him on year one because of my bad shoulder and the lake winds, and I wanted to explore more of the water. Last year I came back with some friends and we grabbed a tandem and a single and launched from Sand Harbor to explore some private coves. This year we snagged the tandem adventure island which was a total blast and an entirely different experience.
