When I chewed on the two implants on one implanted base it rocked the two teeth slightly. This loosened the implant. I asked for it to be corrected. I then realized what he was doing. The implant failed again. Most people know chewing on a tooth that is not attached to its on base will rock the adjoining tooth base and cause it to loosen. I left Palmer distinctive Dentistry. I was told I had lost 2 fillings . This was never mentioned to me by Dr. Palmer.

FROM JUDITH As a…read morehealth care provider myself I was excited to find a holistic dentist. This excitement became a personal nightmare. As a young woman I had all of my teeth restored mainly for cosmetic reasons. These types of restorations do not last forever. So after 40 years I embarked on a full mouth restoration with Dr. John J. Palmer. The planned work was extensive and would to cost over $17,000 and take months to complete. Part of that work would include a 6 tooth bridge. When the bridge was placed, I noticed black at the margin and it was painful. This was never fully addressed, even though it was brought to his attention multiple times. Another part of the restoration was a single crown replacement. Shortly after that replacement the tooth broke off at the gumline making it impossible to just have a new crown on it. I underwent an expensive procedure called a root lengthening: a surgical procedure to expose a greater amount of tooth structure. During that procedure I happened to notice that the Xray of an adjacent tooth appeared to show decay. Dr. Palmer did not address this either. Shortly after that visit the tooth in question broke off. I made the decision to see another dentist. On my first visit with the new dentist the dental tech remarked "you have a cavity at the margin of your 6 tooth crown, and best we take care of that asap". The dentist came in and tried to remedy the cavity but informed me that the cavity extended under the bridge and that the teeth under that bridge were more than likely overprepared and that a replacement bridge may not be an option. Mind you this is all less than 2 months after my last visit with Dr. Palmer who persisted in giving my teeth the okay. I then went to an endodontist who did invasive painful flap surgery where my gums were cut open to try and reach the cavity. Her unfortunate finding is that the bridge is in failure and nothing can be done to salvage it. At this point my only option is implants or dentures. This is not what I spent $17,000 for. I could go on about the multiple failures I experienced, but I am not here to do that. I am here to say RUN. You see other reviews that mention that they have had failures. Do not think it cannot happen to you. Because if you do, you also may have spent your money unwisely and be left with no alternatives. I offered Dr. Palmer to handle this in a Christian manner which he refused. I am a tenacious person and for close to 3 years explored avenues for redress. I finally have had closure.

It of course doesnt fit, so he blames it on my good tooth and says we need to grind it down to make the terrible tooth fit. He is incredibly rude throughout the whole process, overcharges me, sends me an additional $100 charge a YEAR later for no reason, and my tooth is still messed up. I will NEVER go back there again. I advise you to avoid this egotistical asshole as well.

If I could leave zero stars I would DONT GO HERE! honestly…read more I'm a primary school teacher and chose an office near my school based on recommendations. I've spent close to 10k at this dentist. Both of those men have left. So I was left with Nicolas Amati. Who I've heard nice things. After explaining my financial situation and frustration that I was told I would have ZERO issues for 15-20 years with this method, to have to be a in a third time. Then told I had to be in pain or spend several thousand more to TRY to fix it. . I explained I'm going to go elsewhere because that shouldn't be the only solutions and was poor customer service. I told him he can't be so rude and criticizing I have many fillings and saying being a teacher I should have awesome insurance and doesn't believe me we don't. I explained to him that I've dropped $10,000 at that dentist office and was told I wouldn't have any issues with my teeth and I have nothing but issues with my teeth and his solution of spending several thousand dollars more, pulling out the teeth or just living with pain are simply not options for me, and I would go someplace else to get a second opinion, that I found him very unprofessional to judge me for my fillings and financial situation. I asked if he had a supervisor or someone above him and he said yes. So told him I needed his supervisors name because he's very rude and cannot just shout at me or criticize my teeth or how often I'm able to go to the dentist. He did state there was someone higher than him but that he would not give it to me. This is when he shouted that I was being unruly and had to leave. I asked how I was unruly in standing there, no raised voice besides his and that didn't go well for him. So, unless I was outside the building he wouldn't give it to me. I told him I didn't believe he would give it to me if I waited outside because of his actions and none of his secretaries would either as he told them not to. they all looked like they were terrified of him and kept telling me to just go, and it would be easier. So he began running around the office and doing the whole rub your eyes in frustration thing and yelling at me to leave or he was calling the police I told him once I closed my account with the front desk and got the owners name, I would be happy to leave. In his tantrum he ran around, ran into somebody and and called the police tell them he was unsure if I had weapons on me but I claimed I didn't. After about 20 minutes, of being told to leave even after calling the police. I explained that when someone calls the police I can't just run and he now made it so I had to wait. two officers showed up they told me I should've left and called the police on him. They also suggest I take that facility to court and they made them give me whoever the owners phone number is with just a first name and a cell phone number. I'm not sure it's even a real number but I did call and leave a message for whoever "Bo" is. Please don't let this man near you. He was unnecessarily rough and caused me a lot of pain telling me my tooth only hurt because he poked at it despite me expressing it hurt prior to me coming. After talking to Eileen and Donna they made me feel more at ease and assured me I was in good hands with Dr Nary. Dr Nary kept me informed during the procedure at all times and if he sensed I was in discomfort he would ask and made sure I DID NOT feel any pain. He did a wonderful job! Several months now after having the work done and the crown and the affected area is doing great. I would recommend FDH of Villa any time. Dr Nary and the ladies there are great.

I called to confirm that this practice accepted my insurance and was told that they did, so I…read morescheduled and had a biannual cleaning. When I returned six months later for my next cleaning, I was informed I had a balance which I paid without questions. Later, the insurance /billing manager informed me that she had made a mistake and that they were not in network with my insurance company. My dental cleanings should have been at zero dollars out-of-pocket. Lena asked me if I would be willing to pay 50% and said she would refund 50% of my previous payment. Each time I've called over the last four months asking about the refund check, Lena has an excuse why it has not been mailed. I now feel that I was lied to and that the practice is never going to provide the 50% refund that Lena negotiated with me. As I understand, the reason that she made the initial mistake is that she didn't know that insurance coverage is based on the name of the dentist, not the name or address of the practice. (I didn't know this either and relied on the dental practice's advice). That aside, they provide excellent dental care and cleaning -- both the dentists and hygienists I have seen are excellent. Malia and the other dental hygienists that I've seen are amazing
