I gave him the OK to change the filter. He was there for a total of 35 minutes. When I asked how much I owed, he paused, as if thinking about how much to charge me. He told me $120 per hour. I said it was really "steep", and he firmly replied that that's his hourly rate. I called the office and complained that that is ridiculous for changing a filter. I was told that that is a flat rate because he had to drive out. We're 5 minutes from the office. I was given a 25% discount. The service was ok, but $120 to change a filter is outrageous. We had previously used their services, but I WILL NOT use them again. I rarely review companies....Incredible service or awful experience. This is easily in the 1 STAR category. On New Year's Day, one of the coldest days of the year, our furnace was dead! When the…read moreplumbing/heating company we have used for 17 years (since we built our home) message machine said they did not have "after hours" service, we panicked and started calling other plumbing companies. Kaduce was the only one to respond. They came and took a look to determine if it could be fixed or replaced. We expected to have to replace but they said, with a few new parts we could keep it running! Woohoo! They had to order the parts which took a couple of days but offered some space heaters (along with a couple that we owned) to keep us warm enough until the parts arrived. We were a little concerned about leaving town on our extended vacation with a newly repaired furnace but their manager suggested a new thermostat that could be controlled over the internet. We would receive notifications if the temperature dropped in the house, etc. It worked perfectly and we could not be happier. We also signed up for their service to check our A/C, etc. Makes so much sense as a home gets older that it needs regular check-ups just like us. Now one of our faucets has been dripping, so needless to say, we called Kaduce and scheduled a plumber. All of their employees have been polite, neat, and organized. They have clearly explained what they needed to do and have cleaned up after they have finished.

So, my $80 service call cost $154. Also, they tried to get me to pay for said repair before the tech even started!?!? Not how the world works. Things just got extremely sketchy by the end. Although, everyone I dealt with was knowledgeable and professional, their practices seem extremely shady. Just another company scamming $ out of people and not taking responsibility. Most definitely would not recommend.

They got me an appointment the DAY AFTER I called. Service tech Josh called about an hour before the appointed time, said he was ahead of schedule, asked if he could come early. YES, please! Josh stopped in, and was 100% clean/pleasant/polite/professional. He quickly diagnosed the problem, explained the problem to me in layman's terms, and presented me with a couple of options for service. Josh completed the repair quickly, and got us "up and running" in no time! Josh was an absolute pleasure to work with. We've been fortunate to have minimal problems with our HVAC systems over the last twenty years, but I know that CRH has been here at least once. After today's service call, I know that CRH will absolutely be at the top of the list, next time we have a service need. By the way... Josh was finished and gone, fifteen minutes BEFORE the scheduled service call time window. That can't be expected every time, or even predicted... but it was just icing on the cake.
