The accident was bad enough that the emergancy attendants thought there would have been causalities. My husband found our cash, but left the scene by the owner taking him to a local hotel At 1:30 am. My spouse, secured the brand new solar generator and other things. When he got back 10:15 am the wreckers had been til 5:30-6:00am. Our 16ft extension ladder, diamond chrome tool box, generator, solar panels, our water filtration system, 2 - 30 lb propane tanks, 2 deep cell batteries, and countless other things. Dale and my eldest son arrived and combed the debree at the wrecking yard, and at the site. The filtration system for the RV was in the lead supervisors truck on scene, (2nd in charge) and when confronted, stammered on his words But said he did not know anything about it, and to take it. I am still recovering 5.5 weeks later from 4-5 broke ribs & broken sternum, with some other fractures, lots of bruising, and still store. They stole my suitcase and yet not his. Maybe they thought I had jewlery. As a health professional for 46y, I have found many wonderful officers, fireman, and others go out of their way to risk themselves to help others. But for this towing company, we made a report with sheriff. Insurance does not cover contents even if you have your cars insured... it is your home owners and or rental insurance. For a first responding company, charged with cleaning up, locking up valuables after an accident, is their very job, they are to do. How do we know? Because some of the missing equipment was in the second in charge (related to owner) truck. When confronted, he stammered, studdered he didnt know anything about it. However to pilfer and pirate from distressed clients already having an obligation to care for victims - is beyond low... taking advantage of someone elses demize.

It was Friday night in Roanoke Rapids, and I was 200-hundred miles from home, and 200-miles from my scuba dive site. Instead of diving, I spent Saturday calling every auto shop in RR; they were either closed on weekends (What is the logic behind that...cars break on weekends too!?!?!) or they did not have the equipment to fix my car. I thought I was going to be stuck in RR until Monday. On Sunday, I expanded my search list to surrounding towns. I came across a shop in Gaston. Although that shop cannot fix my car, the mechanic referred me to Turner's. I called Mr. Turner and explained my dilemma. He told me to have the car towed to his shop immediately so they can fix it, and get me back on the road the same day. Woohoo! What a relief that was. Since I am not a mechanic, I will probably embarrass myself attempting to explain their work. Therefore, I will only say this much: Turner Mechanics are professionals when it comes to autos. They fixed my car, and I was back on the road in the afternoon. I wish the shop is located closer to me, because there is no doubt that I would take my cars to Turner's for everything--I trust their workmanship, 100%.
