That's a given…read more What was truly great about this spot is that you can get very good information about the magüey plant, obsidian, and their use by the Teotihuacenses. The shop carries good quality, but what really made this place 5 stars for us was the young lady that walked us through the different artisan stations and the sections of the store, Sole. Sole was fantastic! She gave us the most accurate information about Teotihuacán that we received the entire trip! She was knowledgeable, nice and very sweet with our 11 year old daughter. She was also able to shift from Spanish to English for our multiple-lingual small group. We had a very good time here, and, if you go, do yourself a favor and see if Sole can be your guide. Then head over to the pyramids and climb steps to your heart's content!

Mainly all of the different rocks gathered from nearby lava rocks. When I say nearby, it's really more than 150km away. Just the different color variations is amazing. Carving from giant pieces to create works of art is not priceless. It's a collection you could bring home as a souvenir depending on the size. The first thing we saw is this plant that the core is hollowed out to see this liquid called something like, ma-gey (spelling?). I'm sure in some process, it becomes fermented to our samples of tequila. What tour in Mexico that doesn't include tequila tasting. We get to sample the ma-gey which is a bit sour like citrus fruit then not so much. Also not something you would order at a bar. We are shown different pieces with amazing natural color. Gold, orange, mixed in with the black color. One of the pieces you can see through if you were to look at an eclipse of the sun. Why didn't we know about this much earlier. After walking around the gift shop, waiting on everyone else in our group. There is a guy who showed up and started up the loom. As if he is continuing the light blue woven fabric. Interesting how he incorporates the color for the design. Then it was time to load up the van.

I just wandered in while kicking it in Coyoacan and generally looking around. Clothing is not high end, but good if you need gifts for teenagers, or in my case cause I apparently haven't grown up, I got a cool bomber style jacket that I am currently living in. Staff were polite/cool/helpful/not pushy/efficient. I'll stop back in next time I'm in town.

Upon walking in, instantly greeted. The gentleman here was helpful in selecting and letting us browse. We of course had to snag a Cuban here (can't purchase in the US, but can bring them back with us), along with a few others. All three men were friendly and chatting with us during our visit into the store. We asked for matches, but they were out, but one of the men gave us the few he had left of his personal stash- what great customer service!
