PCSing can be an absolute nightmare, and coming to Fort Carson was an extremely stressful experience. One of the worst parts about it is finding new doctors that are a good fit and truly have your best interest in mind. I was referred to FCC by a caseworker at Evans when CAFBHS didn't have room for new patients. I was first paired with a psychiatrist that was nice but not a good fit for me. I first met with Dr. Weber to get set up for TMS continuity and he asked how my psychiatry was going. When I shared I didn't think my current psychiatrist was a good match, he *immediately* got me set up with the one he thought was best for me- and he was right. Brad Witman has easily been one of the best psychiatrists I have ever been with; he listens to my concerns and we make decisions about my health *together*. All that being said, I have been with FCC since they were a small operation in another location and their rapid growth reflects a testament to their success. Their TMS staff is phenomenal (hey, Karen!), Jolene is always on top of every task she has and everyone else I've dealt with has only been respectful. She told me to call Twila. Twila heard me out and promised to talk to her providers and get back to me with the best fit so we could follow up. Here we are a week or so later and I haven't heard anything. I called and once more, got Rita. She informed me that last time I called I got her in trouble. What I SHOULD have done is gone and looked at the website and chosen my own provider. I expressed my frustration with this. I explained that Twila had promised to call me back with a new provider and an appointment. Rita took my info and had Twila call me back. Twila explained that all this time she was waiting for their other providers to answer back, but they JUST did, sadly no one in their practice is able to help. I feel like they not only failed to help my son but actively did him HARM by making changes with no follow through and no communication. For a practice that specializes in mental health, they don't seem very interested in helping people.
