Stupidly locked myself out of my house when I was rushing to head out. Luckily, Dave was just finishing up with a job in Redmond and headed over to my stop when he was done. He got here about 15 minutes after I called(~630pm on a Tuesday). He picked the lock in less than 5 minutes and made sure to check my ID! He charged me 65$ for everything which I thought was a great deal for calling him on such short notice and how quickly he got to my place! Called on a Sunday hoping to leave a message, but David answered the phone. Wanted to install a electronic lock. He suggested to order the lock from Amazon since it was 20% cheaper than Home Depot. Made an appointment the same week after the 2 day Prime shipping. David keyed the lock to my existing house key for $6. Some locksmiths charge $40. He cam on time, finished the job in 19 minutes and everything worked. Cheap compared to the other locksmiths. I didn't have to buy tools, chisel or drill the door, wait 40 minutes at home depot to key the lock or wait for the service in an 4 hour "Appointment window." Highly recommend. read more

David is the BEST! This is the second time I used David. The first time was to rekey a lock and he was great. Today I was locked out of my safe (eeek) and he came to the rescue. I was freaked out because i keep keys to everything i need in my safe and it was completely dead, no power. He saved the day, got me in, replaced the batteries that had corroded, and then mounted the safe in a secure location which is what i had wanted for a year but didn't have anybody to do it. David is Amazing! He came out yesterday to help my boyfriend open his 70's streamline. David will be the first one I contact on any future locksmith work. When moving to a new house, i was short on time and wanted to find someone to deal with setting up a locking mailbox and securing the rear sliding glass door. I'm very glad I found David and was able to use his services for both of these items. David was extremely helpful through email and in ordering parts for me in advance of my move date. Locking mailbox: David stopped by on his own time to check the dimensions on the existing rail and find that the only thing that would work is a locking insert rather than replacing the mailbox with a locking model that would not fit in the structure. He handled the installation no problem and it works great. I never even realized you could just get a locking insert. I also wanted to get some extra keys made and David has a full set of blank keys to do duplications in his truck. Bonus! Rear sliding glass door: Redmond has had a lot of break-ins the past few years with thieves gaining access through back yard sliding glass doors by popping the door out of the frame or easily defeating the old switch style lock. David setup a couple of things to prevent these. David's pricing proved to me that I made the right choice. I could have spent the weekend on these projects but needed to focus on my move. It was much cheaper to use David for both of these and I can't recommend him enough. read more

Super nice guy - he came from Seattle over to Redmond (and got caught as the 520 was closed for boat traffic) around 9:30pm to help us get into our apartment. David came to the rescue when I locked myself out of the back door to my house and the front door was deadbolted shut. It was a very cold night, so promptness was a concern. David indicated that he was about 20 min. away and arrived at almost exactly 20 min. later. He made quick work of my locked door and gave me a spare key for it (cut in his truck) too. This is the first locksmith I've used since moving to Washington, so after some research I called David (found his business license listed on Angies List). He looked to understand my concerns and needs to suggest I have one door either accept two keys or a separate key so if I lost confidence in someone with a key I did not need to rekey the entire house again. I was locked out of my car on Queen Anne during snowmaggedon, my roadside assistance had a 3 hour wait, but my little dog was locked in the car too! David saved the day! We were ready to move into our new house and the two pods showed up. One of them had a serious problem with a disk lock. My key wouldn't even make it inside more than 1/4". We had movers showing up within the hour so I turned to yelp and found David. He answered the phone after one ring and happened to be one town away. Same as the others, David was prompt and efficient, especially given how challenging my car is to get into to retrieve my keys. I called him first, but he was 40 minutes out and I was late for an appointment. Called another "Eastside" locksmith and they quoted a price that was almost double and couldn't be there for an hour and a half. I said no thanks, and they called me back *seven* different times to try to get my business, each time offering me a lower and lower price, until it was 1/3'd the quoted price! I told them to stop calling me, they should have offered me a better price to begin with, and called David back. By that point he was only 20 min out and he made it in just over 10!
